Stopped for 2 nights in the annex four poster bedroom and just loved the place. Friendly and very accommodating staff, relaxed, cosy, nice food, comfy beds, great bath/shower. Other than the noise from the road (not much you can do about that when you are on the main road in Castleton!!) the place was fab,
Sunday quiz night is to be recommended, Geoff's lucky bag! Very funny.
And try the chocolate brownie pudding, yummy.

My friend and I have just returned from a very enjoyable stay. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms very comfortable and clean. meals well cooked and plentiful.
We enjoyed The Sunday night Quiz and game of Bingo which was well supported, Next morning we had an excellent Breakfast ( lovely Bacon) which set us up for our Journey home.
will certainly return. Also worth recommending to friends.

Enjoyed our night at Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese. We regretted that we weren't able to stay longer. The pub was cosy and the room was clean and comfortable.

Spent three nights in small but nice and clean single room -good atmosphere, good food and welcoming staff. Gary and Catherine run a good friendly pub which I can recommend.
