Does what it says on the packet! Cheap and cheerfull. Staff pleasant. Rooms are quiet and comfy enough but chilly, was offered a heater so obviously encountered problems before.
Only cost me £33 for overnight stay inc breakfast and a weeks parking! Dont plan to eat there, expensive and little choice. Bar adequate, around £3.70 pint. Breakfast ok, and it is free so cant complain.
Airport transfer in hotel minibus is £2 pp but only available if a qualifed member of staff is available otherwise £6 in a taxi. Both services were promp and efficiant. Quite a pleasnt walk through the industrial estate at the back to the airport too (on a warmer day).

Given the price I paid - a mere €44 for a double room, I can not complain. It's a simple hotel, with only one purpose - a night's sleep before or after a flight. The room is fine. There is TV and pay TV, though for pay TV I found the old fashioned small TV set very limiting. There isn't a proper restaurant, but you can get a limited amount of over priced food. The staff were rushed off their feet and seemed to play many roles - the receptionist was also a waitress and bartender. I understand there is an airport shuttle service usually - not whilst I was there though - the 3 minute taxi ride cost £10.00

However, in all fairness, the hotel serves its purpose - a cheap overnight stay guaranteed to be more or less OK because it is the Holiday Inn.

We only stayed one night as had early flight next morning, although very close to airport was not disturbed by airplanes landing/taking off. As regular stayers at Holiday inns could not fault anything, room clean and airy with lovely shower, would use again if going from East Midlands Airport

After a long late flight we had a very warm welcome from the staff we were show quickly and easily to our room, which enabled us to get the children to bed. The room was warm clean and adiquate for our needs. The breakfast was hot and plenty of choice for all tastes, plenty of tea/coffee. All in all a great over night stop if you live miles from an airport
