I ate here with my family over christmas 2011 and had the most fantastic meal. My parents had been before and said how great it was so we decided to return and I wasnt disapointed! The whole exprience was wonderful, although the food was most definalty fine dinning quality you felt at home and comfortable. And a lady, whom I presume to be the owner, also came and greated ever table which was a lovely touch! My only small comment would be that for desert I had a key lime pie with a rasberry sorbet and although both were fantastic on there own I didnt think they complemented each other very well. But overall, it is a brilliant resturant and I highly recommend it to anyone.

Fed up writing nice reviews but I put so much research into hotel and holiday bookings that I can honestly say I am never disappointed in vacations. The information now available should ensure that nobody returns from a well earned break with regrets.

I have added Lyzzick Hall to my list of hotels I must revisit, this hotel is special, The Spanish owner works as hard as his staff to ensure every requirement is satisfied. We stayed on a half board and would thoroughly recommend the food and the service that was delivered from the kitchen like a well oiled machine. We stayed in the Grisedale room and opened the curtains to a wonderful view and could then wander down the corridor in the bath robes provided to the swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna..

We were told about Lyzzick Hall by friends who have been several times and raved about it, so we decided to go and stay there for 2 nights to celebrate our anniversary. We were certainly not disappointed as this hotel lived up to all the excellent reviews on Trip Advisor. We would certainly go again and recommend it to our friends.

We stayed here for our Wedding Anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, with evening dinner a particular highlight.

The hotel has a commanding view, in a tranquil location overlooking the glorious scenery of the area. However, it is only five minutes drive from the centre of Keswick which is a pleasant town to while away a few hours and from where you can stroll down and enjoy the beautiful views over Derwent Water.

The hotel staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. We had a standard room which was compact, yet comfortable and clean. The evening dinner is a real gastronomic treat, with a good choice of locally sourced food, served in a modern way. The wine list is extensive, mostly Spanish and Portuguese, and was especially good.

There is also a small indoor pool and jacuzzi / sauna area, which is nice to relax in after a (probably wet) day's sightseeing. There are also numerous lounges and rooms in which to relax with drinks or books.

A lovely stay, and we intend to return!
