On initial arrival all staff at reception were friendly, helpful and on the ball. We were given a quick and easy check in, provided with all information of check out, breakfast ect. We were helped to our room and asked to confirm everything was satisfactory and to our liking. The room was basic, clean, dry, warm and spacious. The bathroom still needs a little work, but the hotel is currently undergoing a refurbishment so this is all in the process of being brought up to a higher standard. By the time we had arrived they were no longer serving food, but we were offered some menus for local delivery places and even though they do not normally allow food in the room said this would be ok on this occasion as they were unable to provide us with anything to eat themselves. There is a TV with Freeview and kettle with condiments in every room. Staff remained friendly and helpful throughout our stay, even waving a late check out fee when we had over slept and missed normal check out time at 11am (notice in reception stating £10 charge for every half hour late).
All in all for a mini weekend break this is a good, basic nice family run hotel and a pleasant stay was had by myself and travel companion. When returning to Manchester again, we will be returning to this hotel.
