“A truly memorable break, one to remember.”

Arrived on a very cold wintery afternoon to a warm and friendly greeting by members of staff.
Personally shown to our room (Magnolia). Room is an understatement, as it was actually a suite.Beautifully appointed with a comfortable four poster bed and antique furniture.
We took afternoon tea in the quiet dining room, served to us by a very pleasant young man.
Decided to go out in the evening. On our return the room had been prepared for us, warm and inviting. Enjoyable breakfast the following morning.
Thank you to all members of staff who are a credit to the hotel.

Beautiful location in Cheshire.Afternoon tea and a glass of champagne served by very attentive staff. My Mum (87 years young) absolutely fell in love with the place. My partner and I came back for the overnight stay including breakfast. Our room was beautiful, spotless and had every home comfort.Tastefully furnished and with an extremely comfortable bed.The lounge and library were areas where you could totally relax, and the garden with patio looked stunning even on a wet and windy day.A real treat to be recommended.Thank you staff at Nunsmere.

Room Tip: We stayed in Lily as the rooms are all named after flowers. We were bowled over.

“LOVELY QUIET BREAK”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

Had a lovely night here in a wonderful peaceful setting, the afternoon tea was fabulous as was the service. The evening meal was excellent with a very reasonably priced wine menu and again the service was top notch.

The room itself was a good size and very comfortable with good views over the gardens.

Now the downside, at reception we ordered to orange juice while waiting for the room to be available, after a quarter of an hour wait , my wife had to ask another member of staff before we got the juice.

The room was not ready at 3.00pm and we had to wait until nearly 3.20. This is not good enough for a hotel of this standing.

May I also say the Concierge was excellent and is indeed a credit to the hotel.

“Wonderful-Relaxing Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

We have stayed here a couple of times, and it is fantastic, the food is excellent, and the staff are the jewel in the crown. The hotel is not overrun with staff, and if you want to really relax, and not rush everything, its must stay here.
Will and Helen will make sure your every need is met, as they did for us. You can also walk the Managers dog around the lake if you fancy a beautiful walk for an hour. The rooms are exceptional, and I strongly recommend this Hotel.

Room Tip: The afternoon high tea is fabulous, with the Champagne

“Outstanding hotel in outstanding location.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

Had a surperb night away here. Was made to feel special from the beginning by the concierge who is a credit to the hotel. Executive room was enormous and overlooked the superb gardens. Food was beyond reproach too.
I stay in many hotels and this is in my top five.
