Was lucky enough to spend the weekend here in the Grenfell Room. Best sleep ever - the beds are ridiculously comfortable. The facilities are incredible, its like living in a fantastic history museum but with 5* service. The staff are incredible - they manage the trick of taking care of everything you could need whilst remaining invisible to leave you to enjoy your holiday.

After a ugly christmas it was time to recharge the batteries and spoil ourselves and cliveden did that. We were in a basic room and it was still of great comfort,though all the prior residents complained of the heat , with the windows open it was fine! The service was excellent,which is all the more surprising given the changes due to the bankruptcy.Anyway well worth the money .

We have just come back from a weekend at Cliveden for my birthday, its truly fabulous. Beautiful old house, fine service, excellent food, lovely spa. It really is pleasant. The staff are excellent. Perfect for a luxury weekend break.

The team in Cliveden got my visit badly wrong. I live in Hampshire and travelled a long way to spend a day relaxing at a poolside that I shared with Bob the Builder and his hammer and drill. When I complained to the House Manager, she invited me back, to use the facilities, but refused to provide my lunch. I just don't get that. Far from seize the opportunity to put their wrong, right, the team here are prepared to have me walk away with the impression that I am leaving here. I expected better and won't go back. Would you?
