“Charming hôtel in a typical mexican town - Secure and nicely located”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 April 2011

Room is nice and clean, by mexican standards. It is an aging hotel which is in need of renovation, especially in the bathrooms. Despite of this, it is well maintained. We stayed 2 nights on the way to Merida and one more on the way back. On that second time we got room 101 which definitly had an humidity problem. It did not really matter to us because it was just for the night, but this one should be avoided. (it is the first unit of a row). The other room we had was OK. The hotel is surrounded by a wall and there is a garden in the center. We ate breakfast at the restaurant, a little expansive but very convenient. The nights were quiet since there weren't many clients, but the open air alley leading to the rooms might get noisy at times. The hotel is ideally located about six corners from el centro. Valladolid is a laid-back city that worth visiting. We also went to Ek-Balam and rio Lagartos. Chichen is also close by. All in all, a good choice for seasoned visitors in Mexico.

Room Tip: avoid room 101

We reserved 1 nigth al this great hotel, not excepting to be the best but having the hope we would like it, since at the web of the hotel are lots of good comments,, well... I loved it! We enjoyed it too much and stay for 2 more nights, we had some meals ant the restaurante of quinta regia, and food had a good quality, prices are ok, flavor excellent, we had a mexican plate and a tipical "longoniza" from the town. Rooms are so comfortable and nicely decorated, mexican pretty style, and exotic beautiful gardens, we picked a fruit from our balcony.. Beautiful and different plans, and a very good wifi conection... Hey... A great tip " free and big parking", so great...we recommend this hotel, we think it could highly be the best of town!

“Underwhelming”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 March 2011

Sounded great from the reviews and the grounds are beautiful. We would guess that it is a great stop for tour buses but nothing special for the traveler who wants to be 'in' Valladolid. Too far from the center of town. Mediocre restaurant. Staff tries their best, but front office personnel aren't up to really helping out with any questions of where and how to. We ate at their restaurant the first evening and both mornings for breakfast and it was just ok at best.

“Lovely hotel, rooms and pool, fantastic service”

Very family friendly hotel. 2 baby cots available and a great pool with a deep and not so deep area. Staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. One of our bags was broken, so we asked them where we could buy a new one or tape to fix it for our flight. They said they would look into it and brought it back sewed and fixed the same day, without asking money for it. Free intent and wifi, great breakfast. Nice hotel grounds with flowers, plants, nice decorations. Would go there again without hesitation!

“Pretty and a great price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 February 2011

For the final night of our trip, we returned to Valladolid to be within driving distance of the Cancun airport, and this was probably the most modern of the places we'd stayed, so we enjoyed the comparative "luxury", from the plush bedding to the lovely grounds. The pool was rather cold, but we were happy to have dinner there and not have to drive anywhere else. The restaurant was empty but the food was good and we enjoyed conversing with the waiter.
