We stayed here a few years and longed to return. The second trip did not disappoint. The rooms are small but spotlessly clean and everything works. The restaurant is the best in town. Diners sit in an outdoor courtyard around a fountain. The servers are very professional and the food a good mixture of Yucatan, Mexican and European food. The shaded pool is always chilly because it never gets sunshine. The hotel is right on the zocalo and within waking distance of the bus station, museum, shops and other sights.

We stayed on a Saturday night and I loved the dining and courtyard spaces of this hotel. We booked the standard room and it was clean and roomy with nice A/C to fend off the heat. Loved the hand-wrought iron bed. The mattress was very firm but that's what we've come to expect in Mexico. Bathrooms in standard room are just basic but adequate. Nice pool and casual congregation area with wi-fi for drinks and they have a free book trade in the registration lobby for readers, as well as local books for sale. Great location on the central Square with dining, shopping and history right at your doorstep. Loved the hand-made leather shop next door, artisan shop on the corner and visited the Casa de los Venados across the square to see an American couple's restored hacienda filled with Mexican art.

Valladolid was once the capital city of the Yucatan. Right in the main square, in front of the cathedral is what most have been the home of the most powerfull family in the city, which has been converted into a beautifull hotel of 17th century architecture. Extraordinary food adn good service. Don`t miss the "Lomitos" and the "longaniza"..To die for! Ask for a pitcher of mango water or mamey water...delicious! The rooms are a bit basic but service is friendly and the owners are always there. No CC's accepted. Very nice swimming pool.

The hotel located walking distance from the bus station and situated directly on the park principal in full view of the main church. There is some street noise but that is hard to avoid anywhere in town. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. And the hotel restaurant is not to be missed. You must try one of the regional dishes. Some these regional dishes are described as soup, but this is no appetizer or “starter”. By the time you have guacamole prepared at the table and flan for desert you will have a full meal.
