Our family of 4 stayed here for one night. The room was clean, but very dated and as the reviewer HeadedOut stated, the beds were extremely uncomfortable. Our room smelled of mothballs. I thought the hotel was good enough (considering the modest price) for a one night stay in order to visit the ruins -- I think my husband and 2 teen daughters would vote otherwise. There are not a lot of lodging options in Valladolid. If I was to plan the trip again, I would look for accommodations in Tulum.

Stayed one night and that was enough. Between the booming doors in the echoing hallways and the wood-hard beds, this establishment is not somewhere we will visit again. True, you get what you pay for, but in this case we got more than for what we bargained, i.e., noisy hallways, a rattling aircon, etc. It does have a large, clean pool and some parking for cars, and the café right downstairs, but I give this only a partial recommendation. If there is no place else….in other words. All of that said, the staff was friendly and as helpful as they could be in the face of our mutual language challenges.

Good location! Clean! And the buffet was delicious!

We stayed there for one night only (fortunately) and the visit to Chichen Itza was the good experience of the trip, not this hotel.
The rooms were ok but the bathroom was filthy. There was not hot water (not even warm) for the shower in the evening and the air conditioning was so noisy that we had to switch it off for the night (and so we really had a bad sleep in such a hot weather).
The staff tried to be helpful but it was quite difficult to deal with them due to their poor English (and our poor Spanish).
The worst of all was, however, the breakfast. We didn't want to pay extra for Mexican, so we got what they called American. Wow! For 3 people, this consisted of six slices of toasted bread, butter in an insufficient amount for one person, a drop of jam and 6 slices of some fruit. It came along with disgusting coffee. The worst hotel breakfast, I've ever had anywhere in the world.

All-in-all, except for the central location, there is nothing good about this hotel. I've lived in youth hostels that were of superior quality to this place.
Never again.
