The rooms are a bit small but adequate and very clean. The rooms have recently been painted and the beds are comfortable.The bathroom is dated but there is plenty of hot water. Wireless internet works great in the room too.The hotel is quiet and the staff is very friendly and helpful.The hot breakfast buffet is wonderful...all you could ask for!
The location is perfect right on the main plaza and only 2 blocks to the bus station.There is a nice rooftop sitting area overlooking the plaza to relax at night. The pool was clean but lacks steps to enter. We stayed 3 nights and eat at the restaurant which is reasonable and has great selections at a good price too. Definately a great value. We will return here again.

The Maria de la Luz hotel was extremely well located and only a few minutes walk from the bus station and also located on the main square. The staff were freindly and helpful. The room was clean, basic and quiet and overlooked the pool. The price also included a hot beffet breakast in the morning which was awesome. A great selection of food that was extremely tasty (i really enjoyed what was some sort of chicken stew, it was sooo good as were the hot donuts!!) and included both mexican and western fare!

The attached restaurant also did great food too, woudl definitely recommend this as a place to stay in this lovely colonial town.

The rooms are sparten, but reasonably clean. The hotel, however, is a great place since it is right on the plaza and the patio areas are wonderful for sitting and reading. Nice pool, lots of chairs around for relaxing. Staff was very nice and the buffet breakfast was huge and fabulous--a great deal since we paid only $1.50 each for the breakfast. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat since the location cannot be beat, and the price was great. We paid about $45 for a double.

I am traveling with my 2 kids (10 and 12 years old). We arrive din Valladolid to tour for a week. I booked this hotel for 2 nights so we would have a starting point, but intended to look around for better deals, if there were any. We stayed 7 nights and were sad to leave. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They anticipated our needs and were very polite. Gustavo, a waiter int he restaurant, hooked us up with taxistas who took us for a decent price to visit some hard-to-reach places. The rooms were cleaned daily, the pool was clean, and there was strong internet connection throughout the hotel, including in the rooms. We also had TV and ate the ample complimentary breakfast each day as well. Good hot water and water pressure.
