We were greatly welcomed by Del Rio Family and we found fun all weekend long!
Eric took my daughter paragliding, which was a wonderful experience for her.
Low price and safe. Montse went horseback riding and Jorge got to ride a motorbike for the first time in his life at a beautiful ranch where they grow organic vegetables in a site nearby the Valle de Bravo Dam.
Nothing is more delightful but watching our children live what they described as "The best weekend of their whole summer".
The rooms are nicely furnished and decorated. The beds are a delight to sleep at!

We were disappointed to find out there is not jacuzzi exterior in the property. We find a lot of hairs in the bathroom walls from previous guests. The sink was dirty and dirty floors.

Don’t be put off by the unprepossessing entrance gate. Once inside, the welcome is warm, the rooms are clean and well-appointed and breakfast is delicious – including a lot of homemade produce.
The location is also good – a few minutes to the centre of town and 15 minutes or so to the lake. The town is great for wandering around and there is a great variety of restaurants.
All the staff were excellent. Eliza speaks perfect English and was particularly helpful when I was booking and when we asked for advice on how to get to see the butterflies – see separate report under the Things to Do section.

Thoroughly recommended place to stay.

We went to Valle de Bravo to catch the butterflies and stayed a night at Meson de Leyendas. The rooms are spacious, the breakfast includes several types of cereal, granola, fruits, breads, eggs a la carte, and fresh squeezed juices.
We were required to bank transfer a 50% deposit to secure our reservation and had to pay cash up front for the rest of our stay. Be ready to mostly use cash, in general.
The hotel is situated about a ten minute walk to the zócalo, a five minute walk to good restaurants, and 20 minutes to the water. If you bring a car, you are required to park it in a public lot around the corner. It is a flat rate for 24 hours and is manned 24-7. Do not park on the street.
