We booked at the Hotel Rincon de Josefa because it was the only place that we could get a room for dia de los muertos. We did not have the problems the other reviewer did with making the deposit or with their reciept of it. If you are not accustomed to transfering money to Mexican banks and do not speak spanish you probably do not want to attempt the process with this hotel. Indeed, speaking Spanish is probably a prerequisit for staying in this hotel. The rooms were clean and reasonably comfortable but otherwise just adequate. The hotel is poorly lit having the feeling of a cave at night. The staff is also lackluster and not particularly helpful, clueless would be a good description. The hotel was quiet. The resturant with the hotel is mediocre. This hotel would not be our first choice in Patzcuaro but we would stay here again in a pinch.
