From the moment we walked through those big beautiful doors to the inside courtyard, we were nothing short of blown away. You got the impression you were somewhere very special and it only got better from there. We were immmediately greeted by angelique, our gracious host, who showed us to our room with breathtaking views of lake Chapala. We were tired from our red eye flight but decided to explere the grounds anyways. Coffee and local authentic sweet bread awaited us in the kitchen, Angelique even offered us breakfast, which was not even supposed to be served to us that day. We sat down to breakfast on a beautiful balcony overlooking the pool and the lake, we were blown away. This was not your typical hotel meal either, this was fresh squeezed oj from her own trees, home cooked traditional meals that were nothing short of comfort food. Angelique speaks English, as she is originally from the U.S. and she was charming and very easy to talk to. I felt as if I had known her for a long time already.
We highly recommend this B&B, it is a step into the old world spanish era with a modern twist. We will not soon forget this trip, and plan to return sometime in the future. We know where to find hospitality that is second to none, in a magical place that exceeded our imaginations.
