“Adobe Guadalupe and its harmony with us and with nature.”

Adobe Guadalupe Hotel is a special getaway. I was there for only two days and will return for a longer visit. The sunset was majestic and at sunrise you could hear the birds quietly singing. I felt safe driving from San Diego to Adobe. It was an easy drive because the toll roads and main roads were excellent condition.
The staff was gracious and sincere and the meals were outstanding. The wine tasting was fun and informative not only about the wine and vineyard, but also about Valle de Guadalupe and the history of the owners.
I will definitely return and recommend it to my friends here in San Diego.

Room Tip: I have not tips with respect to the best room.

“Absolutely loved the B&B, the wine and the beautiful countryside”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2010

We felt like family here although we only speak English, most of the staff is bilingual. Our room was large and very comfortable. The views and landscaping were lovely. There were many things happening here with the wine making, olive harvest, horse training, and a relaxing family complete with all the pet Weimaraners. I was lucky enought to meet 2 world class horse trainers who work here and watch training of the young Azteca horses and even take riding lessons! The food and wine was delicious, I just wish we could afford to visit more often. The prices are quite high but understandably so.

“Too expensive for the quality”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 July 2010

It is definitely one of the best hotels in Valle de Guadalupe but I was expecting -for the price of the rooms- an excellent bedroom, clean and cozy but I was wrong.

The curtains of the bedroom were too dirty and I had to ask to have them changed. The cover of the bed seemed kind of dirty. The bathroom supplies were in containers and one seemed half empty. One of the containers didn't say what it was so we never touched it.
I was expecting disposal containers but it wasn't that way.
We did not like that we had to leave the door open when we were out. That didn't seem safe neither private.

In spite of that, we enjoyed the wine tour. We had the opportunity to taste all wines and that was a good experience.

The food was ok but not espectacular.
I would have tried the "Villa del Valle" which is a little bit more expensive but it seems that it would have been worth it.

“Gorgeous”

This is a really special and beautiful place. We stayed for two nights on the way to and on the way back from climbing Picacho del Diablo, the high point of Baja. The winery and grounds are lovely; the rooms are spacious and comfortable; the owners, Don and Tru, and their wonderful staff are friendly, gracious hosts; and the food, well, it was absolutely exquisite. We loved being around the inn's many dogs and horses (a foal was born one night while we were there) and appreciated the peacefulness, quiet and comfort of the inn. It's quite magical, and we will definitely be back.

“Absolutely wonderful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 March 2008

We just got back from a 1 night stay at Adobe Guadalupe and wish we could have stayed longer. The property is beautiful and the views are terrific. Karla brought our complimentary glass of rose out to the pool when we first arrived so we could enjoy the pool and scenery. The wines are terrific as well. Our room was large and clean and great water pressure in the shower! We did not have dinner there, but we will next time. Breakfast is served in the large kitchen with one big table so you all eat together. We shared our breakfast with the owner, Don, who is very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed our huevos rancheros, beans, wonderful fresh fruit, fresh orange juice and coffee. The eggs are fresh from their chickens. The 4 dogs are big, but sweet and love to be scratched on their tummy. I would definately recommend this B & B to anyone. It is an easy drive from Orange County, California by way of Tecate - a much easier border crossing.
