“Third time there - keeps getting better!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2011

My husband and I have loved the Agnes Horth auberge since our first time staying there in 2008. We've stayed at other auberges and B&Bs in Sutton and were about to give up going there until we came across the Agnes Horth auberge. It is so lovely. I rarely eat breakfast in my everyday life, but I pig out whenever we stay there because their country breakfasts are so yummy! My husband and I went there to celebrate the new year in relaxation, and the food was delicious. Our room (#5) was so elegant and comfortable. The owner Ray is so funny and helpful. We will ONLY stay there whenever we visit Sutton!!!

“We're definitely going back! Absolutely wonderful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2011

Friends of ours had recommended this inn to us and we are grateful! Our room was beautiful and the food was exquisite! The French onion soup is to die for! I had never tried duck before, but my fiancé convinced me to try the duck a l'orange, and it was delicious. The next night, we both had lamb with roasted potatoes and they were also excellent. Service in the dining room was timely. The proprietors were very helpful and friendly. The last quarter was very stressful for me at work, but I was able to relax completely at the Agnes Horth inn. We spent time in the hot tub, and the place was so nice, quiet, and cozy. We were also able to walk to the ski slopes from there within about 7 minutes. We did not expect it to be that easy. When we returned home, we promptly took our friends out to eat as a thank-you for the awesome suggestion.

“Agnes Horth Inn - delightful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 March 2010

My friends and I recently stayed at the Agnes Horth Inn in Sutton Quebec. What a delightful experience! We had comfortable accommodations and fabulous meals. If you are looking for a friendly environment with excellent meals, be sure to contact Ray and Carla at the Inn. My friends and I arrived for skiing, and Ray provided detailed driving instructions and recommended value-packed itineraries to Jay, Owl's Head and of course, Mount Sutton. Carla is a great cook and makes everything you eat. And believe me, you will eat everything. Absolutely delicious.

“Lovely!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2010

A wonderful stay for New Year's and a skiing holiday with family. The owners are delightful and very helpful in every way. Ray knows so much about skiing and he and his wife will do every thing in their power to make your stay a pleasure. The Inn itself is quirky but a lovely place to stay. Our only negative is that the dinner menu offers many choices, but it seems a bit ambitious and therefore not the best dining experience. It isn't bad, just bland. We ate out in the village of Sutton after two nights. The freshly baked goods were outstanding and the breakfast generous enough to get you through a strenuous morning on the mountain! Highly recommend room 33.

“Charming and delightful”

We've always wanted to visit Sutton but wanted to avoid the winter crowd, so we decided to come in the summer. The inn's gardens are spectacular, and we admired the flowers while bathing in the swimming pool. The homemade breakfasts and suppers were a joy every day and night. Our room was gorgeous and had real country flair. The owners were very accomodating and friendly; they really made our stay a pleasure. We're most certainly looking forward to coming back in a few months!

  • Liked — The warm and inviting ambiance
  • Disliked — The road leading to the inn was under construction, and thus somewhat inconvenient
