We had a chalet and it was amazing!!! I would go back in a heart beat and I will be recommending this place to anyone who wants to go.

Location was amazing. It's located almost in the middle of the park so fill up with gas and food before you enter. Location meant that you were also close to many trails.

Our chalet/cabin could accommodate 4 to 8 people - which meant that the 2 bedrooms had 2 double beds in them.

Positives: too many to list.
Negatives: washroom was on the first floor
Regret: not taking the front desk's recommendation to make reservation at the restaurant. We wanted to go for dessert and unfortunately they were booked.

Ok, the location is great and the service is also great, but honestly a room is important. And to me, it felt like the rooms were 20-30 years old. I could hear the people in the next room having sex. The carpet is green and the whole room hasn't been renovated in years. I visit many hotels every year and i would deffinitely not recommend this hotel to anyone.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for one night, taking the room & breakfast package. This is by no means an inexpensive place to stay, so our expectations were quite high. I will begin with what we felt were the positives:

1) Beautiful location. The scenery is amazing, and this is the only on-site hotel we are aware of so you have to stay here to experience the true natural ambiance.
2) Great food - We had the breakfast but passed on the supper. From looking at the dinner menu, however, it certainly appears to be ultra- high quality (although, again, I cannot comment as we did not eat supper there).
3) Professional, courteous and helpful staff.

Now the negatives, in our view:

1) The pool is outside and not heated. After spending a long day climbing the mountain, it would have been nice to take a dip. The pool is not heated (or if it is not very much). For the price it would have been nice to have a swim somewhere.
2) Price-value. Again, for the cost, we were expecting a slightly more upscale environment. I understand it is a national park and the real attraction is outside, but having said that my overall impression was that this was a fairly ordinary hotel with an outstanding menu.

I do highly recommend going if for no other reason than the scenery. The location is fantastic. Overall, we were satisfied with the facility, but had perhaps set our expectations too high.

We stayed here for 3 nights on a park experience package that included breakfast, a lunch pack and a four course meal every evening. We had an absolutely fabulous time, using the great location of the gite (bang in the centre of a beautiful national park) as a base from which to do some hiking during the day.

The room (which was in the main hotel - there are also chalets) was very spacious and clean, with useful mosquito screens, a sofa and a table and chairs. Although we didn't use it, there was cable tv. The bathroom was clean and stocked with nice local organic products. Although the room was ample and comfortable, it was not the best feature of the hotel. This was the restaurant and also the bar. We loved relaxing in the bar with a cocktail whilst looking up at Mont-Albert. Then a fantastic meal was served - top quality ingredients and very well cooked. The only issue we had was that on one evening when the restaurant was busy the service was a little slow.

We had an amazing time and have never come across somewhere where we could hike beautiful trails in the day then come back to such great food. I would love to return here.
