I travel quite a bit and this has been my worse experience so far...I just got back from the Not-so Chateau Roberval!! I should have known better...When I called to reserve 2 rooms and ask questions, I felt like I was bothering Renee at the front desk, she was cold, rude and not helpful at all. I decided to go through expedia to do my booking, which is one of my favourite ways to book my travel arrangements. Once there to check in, I was barely taken care of, once again by the same rude lady I got on the phone, she basically threw the keys/cards on the counter while talking on the phone and pointed with her finger that I could now go to my room...I had no idea where to go to get to my room but didn't want to ask, affraid to be barked at.
Check-out was a nightmare!!! They did not acknowledge the Expedia.ca rate and gave me a hard time...Expedia usually take your payment online so I am still not sure if they double charged me for the 2 rooms...I am going to make my research tomorrow.
With that said, you are better off staying at a cottage or B&B near the lake or make your way to St-Felicien.
I would not send my worse ennemy to Chateau Roberval and regretted booking and having to pay for what I didn't get: Service, Comfy room, Quietness (walls are made of papier-mache so bring ear plugs!)
