“Great Spa but horrible hotel!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

If you are going for the spa experience then no problem, just don't stay at the hotel. I called for a romantic get away and was told they still had a very "quaint" room available. We spent the day at the spa and late afternoon went to our room. We walked in and left the room immediately. This was not a hotel room but a cabin in the woods. It felt humid and was old and falling apart. We left to sleep at another hotel a few kilometers away and came back the next day for our spa treatments. I would NEVER go back to this hotel.

“A very healty place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

A resort full of calm, good energy, excellent staff in a nice surrounding near Mount Orford. The food is also quite very much healty, maybe a little too much sometimes, like tofu dessert or avocado pie; but all the main plates, meat (buffalo, rabbit, lamb, duck) and fish were «haute cuisine».
Nice place to relax, get all kinds of massage, do soft exercises, inform yourself on different current of soft medicine (naturopathe, how to breed efficiently, etc....)

“In one word... Amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 November 2011

I had an amazing time with my friend visiting SPA Eastman. Great massages/treatments (thanks girls!), quiet and relaxing, good healthy food and great service. Just what i needed as I live an extremely hectic life...
The staff was very helpful, specially at the dining room, having Maria for breakfast and Danny for supper was one of the best things about our stay, they were so polite and accommodating, they really went the extra mile to make you feel at home, friendly and professional! The wine recommendations just hit the spot, and the intuitive sense of humor just made diner time all the better. Way to go!
I was also very impressed by the special interest and attention the owner (Jocelin) and the manager gave us, it is rare to have the opportunity to interact with the proprietors and just seeing that they are there for you and ready to improve your stay if they can.
Overall it was a great stay! Thanks SPA Eastman! Until next time...

Room Tip: Stay on the main building, it's more convenient and closer to all the services/activities.

“Great health break but nothing spectacular”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 November 2011

We were living in Montreal at the time and looking for a little getaway. Overall, we had a lovely mini-break at the Eastman spa. The food was excellent and it was refreshing to have such a healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our room (deluxe room with fireplace) was comfortable, but nothing spectacular. The products were excellent, as were the treatments (massage, etc).
But the price was very expensive when one considers the 'average' rooms and lack of what most people would refer to as modern spa services (large sauna, steam room, pools etc). The existing sauna and pool were small, dated and honestly a little uncleanly. If you are looking for modern spa services - La Scandinave (especially the one in Old Montreal) is a better choice- but they do not have accomodation or a restaurant (and are in the city).
Spa Eastman does seem to have a number of packages available, although we only found this out at check-out. We felt that we could have made better use of roughly 1400$ than a 3 day trip to spa Eastment. So, we would go again, but probably only at a discounted rate. They were apparently building new spa facilities at the time, so these may be complete by now.

“Gourmet healthy foods!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 October 2011

Easy (though a bit muddy) hiking trails. Helpful staff. I am a foodie who lives in a resort town, so I am not easily impressed by "spa meals." Spa Eastman certainly has the healthiest gourmet food available. The spa facilities and treatments were just okay, but the meals were well worth the trip.
