“Great experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

I was just looking online to find the number of the Auberge to rebook for this winter and I happened upon the review regarding the breakfast. I had to comment, because we had the exact opposite experience. We thought the breakfasts made the experience. We had a buffet breakfast both times, but a server was always available to take our drink orders. We had a family of 5 and were pleasantly surprised to find that the staff reserved the large round table for our family every morning for breakfast. (The 2nd morning there, we were disappointed to see a Reserved sign on the table, but then they informed us it was reserved for us!)
I found the selection fantastic. A whole chafing dish full of freshly cooked crepes drowning in maple syrup, many other hot buffet items to choose from, fresh fruit, yogurt, many type of breads. We were very impressed with this resort and will stay again. We usually stay at condo type resorts, but it was actually really nice to not have to make breakfast ourselves in the morning. A great way to start the day before hitting the slopes.

“Almost great”

The Auberge is ideally located 15 min from Bromont, Knowlton and Sutton. The rooms are really nice and big. We stayed for 2 nights in the Deluxe room with huge patio, fireplace, living room and kitchen. The staff are very friendly and accomodating, and the facilties are very comfortable and clean!!!
However, our only issue with this place is breakfast.... Its the one little thing that could make this place go from very good to great. We had breakfast here both mornings, the first morning there was a buffet and the second was a la carte.....both were quite horrible!
If you decide to stay here, make alternate plans for breakfast cause its pretty inedible.
On a side note, we did have supper here and it was very good!
There are better places to eat in town though- the Auberge in Knowlton has a great rooftop terrace and the food was really good and Sutton has some cute cafes and a Restaurant called Beaux Lieux which was awesome!

Dear Guest,

Thank you very much for taking the time to review our property. I'm glad you enjoyed our Auberge & the personalized service from our team.

We take all comments very seriously & review with managers & owners to find ways to improve, to create the 'wow' experience for our guests. Our goal is to provide excellent service, food & accomodations, always.

I'm very sorry you didn't feel our breakfast was the same level of quality as the rest of our services. We will spare no effort to make sure all our services are at the level expected by our guests. I share your opinion that breakfast is very important, and usually the last meal our guests have before departure. Therefore, an extremely important part of our guests' experience.

We have a new chef, trained in 2 Relais & Chateaux Inns. He is presently working on a new menu for our dining room (in effect Oct 10th) and I've asked him to review our breakfast offering, from scratch.

Again, thank you for bringing this to our attention,

Sincerely,

Pierre Bergeron

“A luxury resort in the middle of the country”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 July 2011

If it was not for the roadsigns guiding you to this place, one would never expect finding such a resort in this area.
Agricultural fields all around, the resort is surrounded everywhere by green space.
Needless to say that the place is very quiet and relaxing.
We had a very spacious two bedrooms suite for a reasonable price.
The dining room experience was also pleasant, with one exception.
Nice decor, friendly service. Unfortunately, the fish was undercooked. I am confident that the problem would have been corrected if we had complained, but one always prefers things to be perfect at the first time.
A very pleasant place for a short holiday outside the big city.

“Quick Escape for Simple Relaxing Luxury”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 June 2011

We will keep it simple. Being the eco-cosmo folk we are, tranquil nights in the upper north country of NY and Vermont can become quite isolated from more of the luxurious moments of fun we are used too. This place was magnificent. You get all the points of being in a relaxing space that delivers on its promise with none of the usual let-downs by inn/spas with great pictures but lukewarm service and amenities. An easy drive across the border from the NE region with a few small towns with nice bistros and cafes to enjoy lunch or dinner. The Spa at the Auberge West Brome was a great way to make an ordinary weekend memorable. The staff and hospitality were excellent, and the treatments, services and equipment at the spa were top notch. Definitely a place to get to if you live near the US border or passing through the quaint Eastern Townships of Quebec. No need to keep repeating - a great place, reasonable prices and if you are a a spa fan, a nice break from the hyped up venues of late.

Room Tip: book early

“Excellent service, food and massage”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 June 2011

The food at the restaurant's hotel is as good as the food at Chateau Frontenac. The service is excellent, the customer is very well looked after. The Spa is very welcomming and very clean. Very nice swimming pool, hot tub and sauna. The employees are very nice. We will go back.

Room Tip: All rooms are very quiet.
