“Gracious Hosts - Unique Experience”

The Inn is very special to us. My in-laws have come to the Island regularly for the past several decades. PEI is new to me comparatively but it's such a fun place - esp given my suburban roots. Years ago, we came here for a lovely birthday dinner and remembered how wonderful the dinner was and especially how kind the folks who run it. My own parents came to PEI too and I took them to the Inn as well. So of course, now that our family has grown larger and cannot fit into my mother in laws home, we stayed at the Inn.

For this most recent trip, we had two rooms. Yes, I thought it was expensive initially, but when I saw the rooms it made sense. These are not tiny square rooms, these are like suites. Very comfortable beds, sitting area with sofa and rocking chair. Deck chairs are very inviiting.

THe hosts are very knowledgeable and gracious. I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody wanting to experience PEI - shores, seafood, wonderful meals, berry picking, watching fireworks from the verandah, etc. My children loved the gardens and the two very regal cats out front. Even though we were on West Coast time, we made sure to enjoy the terrific breakfast. And we had a wonderful birthday dinner for my mother in law on our last night - truly memorable. With a delicious napoleon cake with hazelnut cream, blueberries, cream..... Need i say more?

“Beautiful location and fabulous view if you don't mind paying for it”

My wife and I stayed two nights at The Inn at St. Peter's on our tour of the Island. One of the main reasons we chose The Inn was because of the great reviews of the restaurant, plus it was the only 4 star accommodation on the East side of the Island. A beautiful location for sure, plus a million dollar view of the Bay. The main building that you see in all the photos houses the restaurant, small bar and reception area. It does have a nice wrap around covered deck with those wonderful views. The accommodation itself is a row of connected cabins. A spacious room inside with two beds and a sitting area but lacking any sort of luxury that the high costs would suggest. The meals, which are described as gourmet were just average, although the local mussels were terrific. breakfast your standard eggs anyway, bacon and slabs of toast was uninspiring. There really is no other place in town to eat so our two nights and dinner cost almost $1,000. There were some repeat guests staying but at that price and for what was really just an average place to stay with ok dining we
won't be returning.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your comments, may I clarify two things.

For breakfast we offer our room guests a selection of juices, cereals (including our home-made granola), fresh fruit salad and coffee or tea. This is followed by your choice of our hot entrees- eggs any style, blueberry pancakes or french toast or quiche. These entrees are all served with bacon, ham or sausage, home fries and toast (all of our breads are made in house).

Our guest stayed in one of our water view queen suites, the rate for this room was $325 per night per couple ($650 for 2 nights) which included breakfast and a 3 course dinner, their choice from the menu. We certainly appreciate that wherever you stay taxes, gratuities and wine will add to the total cost. Also within a 5-20 minute drive of the Inn there are a dozen other restaurants ranging from casual seafood to fine dining.

Again thank you for taking the time to express your opinions.

“This is a delightful place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 August 2011

My husband and I spent three days here and loved this place. Everyone on staff went out of their way to make us feel cared for and the property is lovely. We spent time at the Greenwich dunes and ate at Lin's Take Out - possibly the best lobster burger ever. (I ate 3 in two days, it was that good). Lovely place in a lovely part of the world.

“Wonderful in all ways!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 July 2011

From the exquisite landscaping encountered upon entry to the beautiful lodge. From the warm hospitable greeting to the gourmet breakfasts and dinners to the impeccable rooms, this was a first class experience all the way. We stayed 3 days and wished we had more time in this great place. Just minutes to the Greenwich Park hiking trails (the Inn gave us park passes)... Just down the street from Lin's fantastic lunch take out stand... and less than an hour from the Green Gables site near Cavendish. They have good mountain bikesthat rent inexpensively and there is a very nice trail to ride around the bay. If you are going to PEI and want to be sure of a good time, this is an A+ place to stay!

We stayed at the Inn for 5 days. The property is beautifully situated on St Peters Bay, with wonderful vistas to enjoy !! The owners were very hands-on, and always very friendly, helpful and generous. The dining room was terrific.
