“Beautiful B&B in a bucolic setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 June 2011

Located amid verdant potato fields and across the street from a quaint Anglican church, the Barachois Inn provides first class accommodations, a hearty breakfast and super friendly and helpful Innkeepers. Since we arrived before the PEI season started, Judy and Gary MacDonald provided us with an upgraded Executive Suite in the new MacDonald building instead of a standard room in the main house that was built in 1880.

The suite was fantastic, spotless equipped with a four poster bed, wifi, electric fireplace, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, Jacuzzi tub and stall shower, stereo, TV, balcony and even an iron and ironing board. Breakfast was served in the main house formal dining room that was decorated with antiques that Judy has collected over the years. I would definitely recommend a stay at the Barachois Inn.

Room Tip: Perfect for a quiet and restful vacation.

“Spacious, peaceful and exceptional service! Best off season rate for 5 star Inn!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 April 2011

Cannot say enough about the exceptional accomodations! My husband and I stayed for 2 days and one night for a romantic get away! Service and accommodation were beyond our expectations! We stayed in Suite #5 in the MacDonald house! We loved the spacious suite with a double air tub! The amenities were top of the line from the Kenwood stereo to the maax bathroom fixtures! I could talk forever about the room and it's comforts but I have to mention the tasteful and friendliness of the hosts! They left us to enjoy our peaceful and romantic night! If you stay here you must take in the home cooked breakfast with the hosts in the morning!! If you are at all interested in the historic or culture of the area and the island in general... Treat yourself to a chat with Judy MacDonald!!!She is a wealth of information and knowledge! We loved her stories so much we found ourselves chaating until dinner!! If you visit their website I must say it give a modest description as the Inn is more beautiful then any description!!!!

My Wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Barachois Inn this October for our Honeymoon. Words cannot describe how wonderful of a time we had on PEI. Most of all, we enjoyed the accomidations at the beautiful Barahois Inn. The Inn set in Rustico is full of beautiful scenery, Historical Buildings and many friendly faces. The service that we recieved at the Inn far surpassed anything we had expected. The Inn is immaculately clean, warm and full of charm. Its sweets and rooms are beautifully furnished but cozy and relaxing as well. The Breakfast every morning served by the owners was outstanding. If you are looking to get away with family or friends this is the place to go. PEIsland has so much to offer. We would like to the thank The Barachois Inn for a unforgettable time. 4 thumbs up from myself and my wife. All the best to Judy and her family. Michael and Meghan McDermott

This place is located in a very calme area of the very beautiful PEI, with minutes of driving distance to Anne of Green Gables centre.
The hospitality of the hosts is second to none. Rooms are very clean and beautifuly decorated.
I enjoyed my time at Barachois, and if you are going to stay in PEI, I would recommend this beautiful inn as one of the best options.

“The inn was beautiful, the hospitality generous, and the food delicious!”

The inn was beautifully kept with lovely gardens. Our room was clean and nicely furnished in period pieces. Perhaps the bed was the most comfortable one we have ever slept in besides our own. The staff treated us more like friends than just guests. They were helpful in ideas and places to go during our stay and also offered very nice packages. Furthermore, the inn was located in a central place to many local attractions.
