We stayed for two nights here - Sept.21,22/11. The woman at the desk at check in was very friendly and accommodating. We were able to change our room from two dbl beds to one queen easily. The HJ is dated but our room was very clean. There was no AC in our room but being September the air coming in the window was fresh and our room was a comfortable temperature. The breakfast was included - the small buffet style had sausages, scrambled eggs, pancakes, a variety of juices and cereal, coffee and tea. We had gone to the island to do some cycling and take in the Buddy Holly Story. We were aware that it would be about a 10-15 minute drive to downtown, but this was no problem. The rate was excellent - $79 per night for a two night stay. The bed was comfortable but not fabulous. After a day of cycling, it was no problem to go to sleep! The room was very quiet.

Although this hotel was a little out of the way from the downtown area of Charlottetown it was a nice place to stay. Great customer service from the day we checked in to when we checked out. They were very accomodating and had upgraded us to a bigger room which we didn't feel comforable with (too big for just the two of us) so we asked to be moved which they were able to do the next day. Comfortable beds and pillows. Great breakfast, food was hot and fresh and coffee was good. Only one small complaint, would have liked to have had some fruit and/or yogurt. Good little lounge in the lower floor.

we found the motel on a friday nite and the attendant charged us a 50 dollar fee in case we damage anything and hit the wrong button and had to re do it....hopefully i wont be billed for this...we got in our room and found there was tooth paste dried on the bathroom sink, a shampoo bottle part left in the bath tub, and an unbelievable amount of dirt and dust and grime behind my wife's head board...we called and complained and were offered another room but we were tired and decided to stay...wife had the creeps that there would be bugs etc but that was not the case..just very dirty....i really dont think the room was cleaned at all since the previous customer....when we checked out the same guy hit the wrong button again but did catch his mistake saying i made him do it because i was talking about the couple who woke us up fighting at three in the morning...of course they have no control on that problem....but he still hit the wrong button again so i hope i dont get hit with two additional bills for 50 dollars each because he was not careful...overall...terrible....the breakfast was good tho

I agree with the previous reviews - the hotel needs some TLC - it looks and feels old. Having said that it served its purpose. We had a good night's sleep, shower and hot breakfast that is included in price. Weird that the tap would spit as if the hot water was just turned on. Overall, there are other hotels close by and since the prices are very close, I'd go to one of those instead next time.
