A wonderful place to stay as a couple. The grounds and buildings were kept in immaculate condition. We stayed at the "gatehouse" in a beautiful room that was very spacious. Everything in the room was very clean and we enjoyed the jacuzzi tub! I enjoyed the property location which was in off the main road and made it very quiet. Also, a very good homemade breakfast in the morning at the main inn. A highlight was walking on the path through the woods to visit Green Gables House!

Spent only 1 night in Sept 2011. Beautiful property, very quiet and relaxing. Room was very generous in size, very clean and comfortable. Very clean bathroom. Had a king room at the front of the main building. Good breakfast in the morning as well. Free dvds to watch in your room which is a plus if you've had a long day and you want to just kick back. Only negative was waiting in line at the front desk for information or to check out as only one person was attending the desk. Lots of guests asking lots of tourist questions so hard to get through quickly. Would definately stay again.

A lovely complex of buildings in a pleasant, peaceful setting amid trees and lawns. I was in one of the rooms in the main building, and it was extremely spacious, clean and comfortable. Really appreciated the en suite jacuzzi! I didn't use the kitchenette or the barbecue on the porch, but it all seemed very well equipped. The breakfast was a buffet, with a different choice every day, tasty and plentiful. The staff are just amazing, helpful and cheerful and pleasant. I left a small piece of jewellery behind and contacted them by email when i got home and realised it was missing. They couldn't have been nicer! It soon arrived in the post, along with a card. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place, it's a gem.

In July we stayed in one of the Luxury Cottages for 4 nights. The word "luxury" might be a little strong as there was really nothing luxurious about it, other than having a hot tub and gas bar-b-q on the deck. It was however very clean, the simple furniture it had was in very good condition and it was in a great location (off the main road but within very easy access. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a safe little play area for children in the middle of the cottages. We were very close to the Village of Avonlea and other attractions. I highly recommend, it especially if you have young children. I would certainly not hesitate in going back.
