“Wonderful Hospitality and a Gorgeous Home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2010

Edgar And Brenda make you feel at home, and the breakfasts are wonderful. We stayed once before; this time was just as good as we remembered.

The beautiful secluded home is eclectically decorated, and there's a story behind each work of art that the hosts would be glad to share with you. Never obtrusive, always entertaining and informative, this is a great place to stay, relax and enjoy.

“The most sophisticated B&B on PEI”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 August 2010

Roseneath is the most sophisticated B&B on PEI. Our hosts, Brenda and Ed Dewar have 200 acres of gardens and woods and an historic 19th C. house owned by Ed's grandfather. But they bring years of international travel and residence around the world to bear on the antique setting. Expect museum quality pieces and art from Indonesia or Saudi Arabia sprinkled among the ladder backs. They provide the conversation to go with it. If you love history, travel, international affairs mixed with great food and setting, this is the place. Excellent base for all of PEI including Anne of Green Gable sites. They let you ring an antique Indonesian gong for breakfast or St. John the Baptist's church bell in the garden (named after the minister, John, whose church it came from...).
Don't miss this one.

“Awesome Stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 August 2010

Beautiful, refurbished, old house---built in the 18 hundreds--lots of artifacts from the time period in the house. Hosts---made our stay. The first night she spent hours with us--telling us about places to go---etc. We then, decided to stay another night. That night we went to a music show ( suggested by Brenda) (we were ---totally delighted with the show) Anyway---didn't get back till 10:30. She had a bottle of wine waiting for us---then, we went --with her, and another couple outside and watched a metorite shower. In the morning---after an awesome breakfast---she had , her friend, author Hugh MacDonad over, to read us poetry from his books.

“Service only got a 5 because there is no 6”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 August 2010

My wife and I have never felt more welcome than we did at Roseneath. Brenda & Ed are remarkably generous with their time, knowledge and resources. They are the relatives everyone wants to visit. We will gladly go back when we make our next trip to PEI.

To top it off, the grounds are gorgeous. The proximity to the bike paths is also a great feature. We can't recommend this place enough.

“Great Hosts - wonderful B&B - right on bike path!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 June 2010

I could have spent days at this B&B talking with the hosts and wandering through their gardens/backyard. They were very helpful and chatted with us for hours. The bike path is set way back behind their house and leads all across Prince Edward Island. I decided to get up early and ride my bike on the path and meet my family at the ferry. The hosts got up early, made me coffee and insisted I have breakfast before I leave. My mother told me later that their breakfast was very good. The hosts were just wonderful. The rooms were charming and I could easily see a couple thoroughly enjoying the peace and quiet here. It was perfect for our quiet, sightseeing vacation. We sat in the gardens and had wine, read our books, and enjoyed the incredible atmosphere.
