This hotel is what you see is what you get. We were in a skating competition in Chatham but all other hotels were booked so we had to drive 20 mins to Wallaceburg. This hotel was not on the higher end of a Days inn.. the lady who, I think owns or manages the place is rude. The guy Ryan is wonderful and helps bridge the gap between the manager and all customers.. he should be paid tons of money for what he has to deal with everyday. The rooms were OK.. nothing fancy.... the breakfast was OK - two tables to sit at. In one of the rooms they have someone living with their two dogs??? Who didn't bark during the night but in the morning when the guy got up.. man they can yip... loudly to want to go out? Guess this is an apartment as well as a hotel?

The first thing I noticed when I got to the hotel was the extremely helpful front desk staff.
I was checked in quickly and the women at the front desk gave me advice on where to eat in Wallaceburg (there isn't too much in the city so it was great to have some guidance!) She was really welcoming. Which was nice because I was booked in there for a week.
The room: clean, with lots of space. The flat screen TV was a nice touch along with the wireless internet. As someone who travels a lot, you stay in a lot of places that aren't that nice, but this place was very welcoming, clean and I'd recommend it to anyone coming to Wallaceburg for business or pleasure.

The price of the rooms and the rooms themselves are bare bones.Our room did not have a coffee maker or iron or ironing board - however, this was not unexpected as the website stipulates that not all rooms are equipped with these items.
However, we turned down our bedspread to find it caked and I mean caked with spots of dried blood on the underside along with other larger unidentified stains. The pillow case had dried paint on it and a face cloth was thread bare with holes around the edges.
They had turned off the heat to our room so when we arrived it was freezing. The back door does not required a card for entry and anyone can just walk into the hotel.
On a positive note, the staff were very friendly and the hotel does offer complimentary 'day break' breakfast.

We had made reservations at the Oaks Inn (next door) for the Wambo weekend. However, when we went to check in, we discovered we'd been accidentally booked for the wrong weekend, and they had no rooms available. So we went to the Days Inn. They, too, were fully booked - but took our name & cell number & promised to call us immediately if they had a cancellation. Luckily for us, they did. We had a wonderful weekend! Everyone was very friendly, and service was excellent. The rooms were clean, comfy, and very nicely decorated, and the free Continental Breakfast was delicious! We enjoyed our stay very much -- and yes, we will be back!
