If business, family, or pleasure require you to be near the area then this hotel is a good choice. Clean, well designed, and fresh it is one of the nicer Holiday Inns in the city.

Parking is easy, the area is safe, and the Internet is free. There were a few obvious design choices that added to the security of the parking lot and reduced noise.

This hotel works well if you have reason to be in the area. If you are a tourist in Toronto this hotel is far from major attractions though it is somewhat proximate to Pearson Airport (which is not close to anything else).

It is adjacent to a Swiss Chalet and several fast-food outlets.

The beds are newer and more comfortable than your average Holiday Inn. The bathrooms are also well designed and modern though use annoying low-flow shower heads (which seems par for the course at newer hotels).

Our room came with a microwave and empty bar fridge which is nice to store some snacks or a restaurant doggy bag.

I recommend this hotel but make sure the location is right for you.

Better than average rooms for a HIX.............. 8/10

I've stayed here twice with friends after our annual gala near the hotel. The rooms are spacious for fitting 6+ people overnight and we've never had any noise complaints come to our room or any additional charges. The concierge can be rude but we were always well-behaved. The beds are comfy, the TV's great and the room is big enough to fit 6-10 people. Book in advance and try and try again if the concierge rejects you the first time around.

Check in was pleasant and easy. Rooms were updated and clean. Breakfast was a hot and cold buffet and was good. Internet code didn't work for me or others in my party, but those of us who called down to the front desk were given another code that did work. Didn't use the pool or fitness areas so can't comment on those. Convenient to the conference hall I needed to get to and hwys 407 and 427.
