“Pampering”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

My husband & I were at Ste Annes spa for a couple of days r&r in December. What a treat! everyone there respects your privacy & the fact you're there for "down time". From the greeting we received at check in & were taken on a tour (while our bags were being taken to our suite) to the time we left everything was wonderful. Staff are professional & understanding. our breakfast was at an assigned time each morning, when we returned we found our room was made up while we were out of it.How considerate!! Spa treatments were the best. The outside hot tub & plunge pool are great, right inside the outside door is the euclaptyus steam room, so you can make the rounds between these 3 features.it was great to sit in the hot tub in the cold december night! Spa treatments were "heaveny" meals are exceptiona, lots of healthy &delicious choices. the afternoon tea is almost a meal in itself. would definately go back!

Room Tip: Some of the cottages are a little far from the main inn, maybe a problem in colder weather or rain e...

Great service, great meals, beautiful location. There are always little hiccups when you stay someplace but nothing to deter me from going back. 100% recommend it to anyone who would consider going.

Room Tip: If you're travelling as a group consider getting a cottage. They're very close to the main...

“Relax, restore, rejuvenate”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

I love ste Anne spa. From the moment you are greeted at reception to the moment you leave, you are greeted with such a genuine warmth! It is a fabulous getaway with a friend, many couples here as well, as well as the odd person here alone. My Thai massage with Lisa F was amazing!!!! Meals are terrific, lounge very conducive to leaving stresses of the city behind. There is now a bigger selection of wellness classes such as yoga and meditation, snowshoeing etc. For the swimmers, there is a lap pool all winter as well as outdoor plunge pol and hot tub. Although it's not cheap, worth every penny

“1st Mother & Daughter Getaway at Ste. Anne's Spa”

My cousins and I booked an overnight getaway with our moms to Ste. Anne's Spa, as a thank you for everything they do for us. I found a special posted on the travelzoo.ca website ($189/person for their "superior" accommodations, 3 course lunch, afternoon tea, 4 course dinner and breakfast, and for an additional $85, you can purchase a $100 credit towards spa services). A pretty good deal, considering that the normal cost is $475/person for double occupancy (savings of $101).

Lauralee had suggested we upgrade to the superior accommodations so that all 6 of us can stay at the Sentosa cottage, which consisted of 3 rooms (2 rooms with 2 queen beds, and 1 room with a king-sized bed). What a great recommendation! The cottage was lovely - all 3 rooms were spacious and had its own fireplace, sitting area and bathroom (with both shower and jetted tub). The rooms were on the main level, and downstairs was a kitchen, large dining table and family room, with a walkout to the cottage's own private hot tub. Since we reserved all 3 rooms, we had the whole cottage to ourselves!

Even though we enjoyed our getaway, I'm not entirely sure we would make this a spot that we would frequent:
-check in was only after 4 pm
-we arrived prior to noon, had a tour, had lunch, had our first spa treatment, had afternoon tea, had another spa treatment, checked into the cottage, then had dinner... it all felt quite regimented. For example, we were scheduled for afternoon tea from 4:00 to 4:30 pm, however, we were not served right away, so my mom and I had to quickly eat/drink to make it to our 4:45 pm spa treatment. There just wasn't a lot of time to RELAX... which is a bit of an oxymoron when you're going to spa.
-the food was so-so. I consider myself a foodie and while I enjoy food "quality", I think my mom and aunts enjoy the "quantity" of the food. Portions were a bit on the small side, however, you're able to order extra appetizers/entrees if you wish.

Overall, it was a good experience - friendly staff, beautiful surroundings, AMAZING scones, and most importantly, good company.

“an Amazing retreat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

WOW! what an incredible tranquill pampering experience.
from the moment you arrive it feels like you have set foot into manor from the 19th century victorian era. The reception greets you with a warm smile and gives you a grand tour of the facilities. you are then given a bathrobe and are able to get comfortable and unwind in the grand living room while waiting for your therapist to come out and personally greet you. While wating you can help yourself to coffee, organic tea, AMAZING Biscotti, trail mixes or just relax and read a book. I went with my sister, mom and my best friends to celebrate my sisters 30th birthday and we were all just pampered beyond! my Customized facial was catered to my skin needs and each part of my body was massaged while a mask was spread on my face. in your spare time you can hit the outdoor jaccuzzi (even in the middle of january) or hit up a Yoga class ( if you are a practicing yogi/yogini you may find the class is MUCH slower paced and caters to beginners only). you can only visit the trails or just sit back and have conversations with your loved ones. the Lunch was spectacular!! healthy, tasty and portion controlled! and the best part? you get to bring your own bottles! to celebrate my sisters 30th we brought tons of wine and champagne which you leave at front desk and which is then passed over to you at your lunch table.
you leave the spa feeling rejuvinated, energized yet so relaxed and like a million dollars! i have been to countless spa's in toronto and in many resorts around the world, Ste Anne's is definitely top notch and worth every penny. Just an FYI if you are going to get a couple of treatments, keep in mind that 30minutes is just NOT enough. i did the caribbean foot rejuvination and i should definitely have done the hour. 30minutes just felt too short.

Enjoy!
