“Amazing B&B and a rustic place - if you like it”

We loved the time we spent in Trinity and were sooo glad that we decided to stay here. It is an amazing location and the place has been done up without loosing much of its rustic charm. The restaurant is amazing and the staff are really freindly. We wanted to - jig some cod - and they arranged everything for us. They even cooked our catch and it was one of the most memorable experiences ever from our fantastic trip on the island. We will come back to Trinity and stay here for sure.

“An excellent stay”

Christine Whelan is Eriksen Premises. She is the captain of the ship. When she is there everything runs fine. Without her the ship flounders in all departments. Otherwise the staff were very friendly. We used Eriksen Premises for our base to view Trinity and the Bonavista area. Our room was well furnished. The only problem being the toilet - it was a tight squeeze with a step which made things uncomfortable for me, but no problem for my five foot two tall wife. Because of the time of year there was very little choice for food so we had our dinners at the restaurant. The food was good. Breakfast was included with plenty of choice. Trinity itself is more like a museum than a village. Worth the visit

I stayed at Abba Inn in St. John's and they recommended the Eriksen Premises for excellent value. It was indeed. The staff were lovely. Trinity is a beautiful little place and I am so glad I went there. I also went up to Bonavista and stayed at The Bird Island Inn. Perfect location also. I stopped in Dildo on the way back home and stayed at the Inn On The Bay. It was picture postcard perfect also. What an excellent holiday I had.

  • Liked — Vlalue. Staff. Clean
  • Disliked — Nothing bad at all
  • Tips/Secrets — I think one day woudl have been enough. The B&B was lovely but you can pretty well cover the area in a day

“Eriksen Premises a nice stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2006

We stayed at the Eriksen Premises for 2 nights in 8/06. Trinity was lovely, and Eriksen's is a nice location for walking around. Our room was basic, but very spacious and clean. There was a large sitting room off our room available to guests. The tea/dining room was cozy and pleasant. We had lunch there and enjoyed the lunch very much, in fact best lunch we had in Newfoundland (a salad!!). However, breakfast left much to be desired. It was self serve, set out on the counter tops of their gift shoppe. Breakfast food was fair, not particularly appetizing or hot. The experience at this B&B would be much better if they served the breakfast individually at your table. Also stayed at affiliated B&B in Carbonear (Sophia's). Sophia's was the best B&B and best breakfast of any place we stayed Newfoundland.
