Stayed here because Deer Lake Motel was full and we had an early flight out of Deer Lake Airport. The staff were pleasant and we had a nice view of the lake. Our room appeared to be recently renovated. This is an inn, so don't expect large executive suites. Our room was just large enough to accommodate a double sized bed. The rooms may only have double sized beds. Cable TV is excellent.
The hotel restaurant (Jungle Jim's) seemed to be quite popular with the locals despite its disgusting menu. If you are not in the mood for greasy pub fare then it is a short walk to a few other restaurants (chinese, subway, tim horton's) and a grocery store.
Certainly would not stay here for more than one night but it was not as bad as some of these other reviews suggest.
