Stayed here for our sons ball tournament and didn't really know what to expect. Very clean hotel, rooms and bathroom spacious. The pool area has a slide for the bigger kids and did get a little crazy with about 75, 11 year olds going up and down but all in all no complaints. Breakfast selection was the standard fair but plenty of room to sit down and eat. Very happy with our stay.

This has to be the worst hotel we've ever stayed at! We were there for a funeral and there was no other hotel available in Winkler at the time so we had to stay there. Were do I start...there was cigarette burns in the carpet and blankets, the floor wasn't vaccumed when we arrived (nor was it the whole 2 nights we stayed), the floors in the bathroom weren't swept or moped when we arrived, there was mold and soap scum on the shower curtain. I literally looked like they never cleaned it for a few weeks! It was disgusting. Thank god there was no Bed Bugs!! Stay at the Super 8 instead!

Just a note about the "Horrible Hospitality" review... I also stayed at the hotel during the time this lady did for a couple months while I was looking for a home to rent/buy. I watched her complain to the front desk saying that "there is supposed to be breakfast on right now, and there is NO FOOD OUT THERE" the Front Desk girl quickly went to fill whatever of the food was empty... only to find that everything was full! The only thing that needed filling was the muffins... but they were not EMPTY to begin with. I felt really bad for the front desk girl and chatted with her for a while... as it turns out there is nothing that will make that guest happy... The front desk girl told me about how she was staying with the pipeline and was getting a much cheaper corperate rate, part of that rate when you're "living" at a hotel was limited housekeeping. If you are considered a resident the housekeeping checks your room everyday but does the little things like dusting only once a week... do you dust your house everyday??? Didn't think so... Also if you have up your "Do not disturb" sign almost everyday (like she did)... then gues what? THEY DO NOT DISTURB YOU!!! I had an incredible stay at this hotel! A couple times I even woke up late with my children and went to the front around 10:15 as they JUST STARTED putting the breakfast away... every time they were very kind and let me and my children grab everything that we needed and sit in the breakfast room for as long as it took us to finish our meal. This lady is just trouble and was incredably rude and wanted to cause a scene it was RIDICULOUS! I'm surprised that after she yelled and screamed at so many staff for nothing the manager didn't kick her out... because if it was me... I sure would have, no business needs customer's like that! The "customer is always right" is only true if the Customer is SANE!
