“snowboarding/hotel package”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

We found an amazing deal for 89 per person per night to stay at the hotel and board for 2 days. the hotel was clean the staff amazingly friendly. fabulous steak at the steak house in the hotel. the village is beautiful and the best snowboarding we have ever had. we highly recomend staying here for a nice little get away weekend. they have a ski/board room to keep your gear, and underground parking for 10 a night. the hotel is close enough to walk to the lift in less than 3 min and if your a skier then you can ski your way down even faster. the hotel itself was a perfect place to stay, we were both very happy with everything there. the staff went out of their way one night to help us out with something and it was very nice to have such friendly helpful staff. thank you sun peaks lodge! we will be back!!!

Room Tip: we had a street side view it was the road and trees and mountains above, the other side you would be...

“It Snowed for us in May”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 June 2011

This was a real gem on our tour, from the luggage handling, to the fire place, to the rooms. The room was on the first floor overlooking the village clock with the mountains beyond. The room was large and clean, the beds very comfortable. Staff were very helpful with a continental breakfast arranged at the last minute. The dining room is not generally open this early in the season. The lodge is right in the middle of the village with everything within 5 min walk max.

This was our second trip to Sun Peaks lodge. We found equally as good as our last trip and would recommend any one visiting Sun Peaks to stay here. Also use the restaurant the steaks are first class.

“Hotel Fine”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2010

Stayed here in September 2010.
This was a one night stay as we were travelling to Whistler from Banff.
Sun Peaks is a long way from the Trans Canada Highway and Kamloops along a very winding road into the mountains.
Hotels is very central, quick checking, room was available despite arriving early.
Room was clean and fine for what we wanted. We overlooked the main street, and up one of the mountains. The hotel restaurant was closed, and there was not too much open in the town.

Sun Peaks was dead when we were there, weather did not help as it was raining the entire time, so may have given us a bad impression of the town. I would not recommend this resort in the summer unless you are walkers, or mountain bikers as there does not really seem much else to do.

“Great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 September 2010

We were up for a car event held during Sept 9-12. The location is right in the heart of the village. The bedroom area and the bathroom were both a good size. Very handy having the small mini fridge in the room for our "liquid refreshments". The coffee maker was almost the best we had provided in any hotel room. Good coffee and hot. They also provide ceramic mugs and a spoon, which is so much nicer than the paper cup and plastic stir sticks you normally get. They also had wine glasses in the room as well as hi ball glasses which was a good idea. I had to call downstairs to have the room safe reset so we could use it, and the hotel owner/manager was up right away to do that for us. The owners of the property are very nice and hands on to help you with any concerns you may have or questions you need answered. King size bed was nice and firm just the way we like it. As this was still the 'Summer Season" for the hotel, the restaurant was closed so we can't comment on it. The menu did look good. I would definately stay there again. They have very limited parking both outside and underground, so you do need to confirm with them prior if you wish an underground spot. There is a $10 fee for that. There is free wi-fi in your room, but if you want to use the internet computer downstairs in the lobby area available for guests there is a fee.
