We stayed at this wonderful "working sheep farm" bed & breakfast with two other couples September 19-21. The 3 guest bedrooms are entirely separate from the owners part of this home with separate entrance, living room with fireplace and dining room. The 3 bedrooms consist of a very large king-bedroom with ensuite, a good size queen-bedroom with ensuite and smaller twin bedroom with private bathroom across the hall.
My husband & I decided to take the cozy twin bedroom and let our friends have the other larger rooms. The twin beds are extra long (my husband is 6 ft. 4 inches) and the mattresses are very comfortable.
Our hosts Janet and Paul Kuszyk made us feel so comfortable and at home. The breakfasts were hearty and delicious. They made dinner reservations for both nights at the two best restaurants on the island for our group.
There is a nice size heated swimming pool which we all enjoyed both days. The surrounding scenery of green pastures and grazing sheep is lovely and peaceful.
For such a small island there is plenty to see and do. A must visit is the Gabriola Landmark - The Malaspina Galleries, coastal rock carved by wind and wave action creating beautiful and intricate cavern colours, shapes and floors.
We would definitely stay here again.
