The Ramada was able to take me on short notice when the B&B I was supposed to stay at fell through. The room was a bit dated but plenty comfortable with a nice, large bathroom and mini-fridge. Internet worked fine for me. The continental breakfast was adequate and they had a 10% off coupon for a couple of local restaurants for dinner. The woman working the front desk was very nice and friendly.

When my husband asked upon check-in about internet, we were told it was "iffy" but to let them know at the desk if it didn't work. It didn't and the clerk said she would pull the plug on the router. For two days, we had no internet and my husband now relies on it for business. When we checked out, we mentioned it again and the clerk basically shrugged and laughed it off, tried to blame it on Shaw. However, my husband says it had nothing to do with Shaw and everything to do with their needing to replace their modem. They advertise Internet access but we sure didn't have it. We also suspect bed bugs since my husband was covered in bites on his arms the next day.

Needing somewhere to stay at the last minute we ended up in the Ramada. Yes the hotel rooms open directly onto the street, yes it is basic, yes it is full of oil/gas workers, but it is just that, basic and practical. I have stayed in much worse and much better, functional and ok is how I would describe it. The dog loved it

This motel along the Hwy 97 in Dawson Creek offered Clean rooms but were bare bones basic and is workable for a 1 night stay. Friendly desk staff not only offered rooms without reservations but tourist info too.
The beds were non sagging with new pillows and non pilled sheets, the average motel washroom had soft towels and a small fridge for food but not for ice. Free wi-fi internet in your room- but it was unsecure and as I tried writing this review I lost connection -twice** warning don't use.
Never had any concerns about safety but you will hear the road traffic no matter if your room is in the front or back.
It's a clean motel experience, but there is better hotels in the area.
