Our stay with Barb and Marcel was undoubtedly a highlight during our visit to Canada. Thyme Away is truly a home from home and our only regret was that we could not spend longer there. It is so comfortable and the breakfasts were fantastic, beautifully prepared and presented. The alpacas and deer added to the lovely peaceful rural setting and we just wish that it wasn't so far from home. Hope we can return one day.

We so enjoyed our stay with our congenial hosts, Barb and Marcel, at Thyme Away. Our accommodations were charming and immaculate. Breakfasts were generous and extremely tasty with very fresh local ingredients. We spent a perfect drowsy, rose-scented afternoon by the pool. One of the highlights of our visit was feeding the three resident alpacas. We felt like family here. We highly recommend this B&B and hope to stay there again.

We booked our stay based on other reviews and phone calls to Barb. We'd never been to the island, or even to a B&B, and wanted a place centrally located to explore on our own timetable. Thyme Away was absolutely perfect! Barb & Marcel made us feel at home right away. The room was comfortable and the guest lounge area very cozy. Having a pool to come back to after a day of hiking, exploring or shopping, was a great treat. We enjoyed the quiet area, and the alpacas and deer in the area. Very relaxing!
We found we didn't need lunch after Marcel's huge & delicious breakfasts, and Barb had good recommendations (and sometimes coupons) for places to go for dinner.
We'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a laid-back base to enjoy the island.

Our family of four rented the two-bedroom cottage for two nights in June 2010. It was the perfect, relaxing spot in which to unwind after a hectic several months of work. Reading on the porch of the cottage, watching the alpaca, playing bocce with my teenage son provided some much-needed downtime. Barb is so warm and welcoming that you feel as if you've made her day. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful, the cottage was comfortable and we appreciated Barb's recommendations about restaurants in the area and things to see.
