These guys were absolutely amazing and I think that from now on we will be staying in Sherwood Park instead of the city. They really made us feel welcome...and went way above and beyond their resposiblities...they made a potentially difficult weekend into a pleasant experience. This was by far our best "hotel" experience thus far... and we have done some major travelling staying at 4 and 5 star hotels (of course that was before the baby ;) We will not forget their genuine kindness.
We were worried about the location as we typically stay in West Edmonton Area... it was very convient to get to an from the city and it was not as busy. They are also a couple blocks away from the Millenium Centre which was a great place to go swimming with the little one.

This hotel is very overpriced for what you get. A very basic room, with old carpets at a rate that should get a three star or better accomodation.

We stay at this hotel so often that the wonderful front desk lady recognizes us as we walk in. I wish I could remember her name. She always asks why we are in town this time - is it for a dance festival, highland dance or hockey? The Ramada is not the most posh hotel, but you do get what you pay for - a clean room, pleasant staff and complimentary breakfast. For a parent travelling with kids getting up early for dance or hockey, this is sufficient. There are restaurants close by for lunches and evening meals, shopping is good and Costco is right next door. Also, we often get the king suite which gives us two tvs and lots of space for getting ready in the morning when it is just myself with the kids. It has a pull-out sofa bed (which is okay for kids for a night or two)

The front desk staff are friendly, efficient and helpful. The hotel is clean and comfortable, not a bad value for your dollar. There is no restaurant on site but is next door to BP's.
We live 450km for the closest Costco so it's an ideal place for us to stay as this is the final destination before heading back home. Sherwood Park is a suburb of Edmotnon so everything is within driving distance.
They offer a free continental breakfast which isn't bad if you don't expect anything special.
