The helios hotel isnt too bad rooms ok etc. but the food is by far the most disgusting, foul, repuslive, gag reflex testing, dirty filthy, rotten regurgitated, smelly rot! everything smells of steamed rotten fish. the pool was ok except i heard a few reports of people getting ear infections but i suppose this could be coincidence and nothing to do with the pool. the animation staff were ok but annoying when they wake you up from sleeping by the pool to ask you to do gymnastics, the arrival of a few benefits cultured jeremy kyle type families spoiled the relaxation a bit but i suppose you can get that anywhere. the town has some ok food places (which after the second day we used frequently due to the sheer wreching brought on by the food in the all inclusive restaraunt) however be prepared for the sheer non stop harrassment of people trying to get you into their places. all in all would not go back here due to having higher standards

I spent a nice week in this hotel, clean rooms and the hotel is always impeccable. The breakfasts are hearty and animation all day warranty with "the pretty Mimi" and her colleagues. The staff is very friendly.

Never again i think it says it all!!!! the sea view which you have to pay more for ,it's actually more like a pool view. You hardly see the sea...and for the rest...is TERRIBLE...very expensive for what are they offering, and the spa is also very expensive, so i don't understand why are they calling a spa&resort hotel if you still have to pay for everything and it's not cheap!!!! BTW the distance to the beach is more ike 10 min to walk....so ..near to the beach yeeaaa

This is mediocre hotel at best and could have only gotten four stars via corruption or some unreckonized rating system. We went there for a recent long weekend and it didn't live up to any of its advertizing. The service was atrocious: I had to wait 15 minutes at the front desk to get my documents back and the whole time the clerk was counting some money and talking to the concierge, and we also had to ask 5 times to have the interconnecting door between our rooms opened. The meals were less than average: they ran out of lamb on St. George's Day and the pain au chocolat were constantly half filled with chocolate as were the cheese pastries and the only coffee available was instant and half the time the scrambled eggs weren't all the way cooked. There was insufficient parking and as mentioned in another review, you had to put down a deposit for towels. They even asked us to wait as we were checking out so they could go check our room before we left.
