I have stayed in this complex three times now over the last three years. The first time was June, the second time was May and last time was September. I have noticed significant improvements in my last visit. The road outside the front of the apartments has finally been finished and they've done a great job with the area around the pool as the grass is all cut and the hedges trimmed.
Our plane arrived quite late and Blagovasta was around when we got there with our key as we had warned her in advance. The reception is not very well signposted - you have to follow the fence leading from the front gate. Blagovasta's english is great and shes really helpful. The apartments seem to be run by a close knit family who are very helpful and proud. We stayed with our 10 month old girl on the last visit and they provided a nice travel cot in the room. We like to eat out but the first night we ate in - we had a kebab and humus which seemed home cooked and v convenient and quick.
Theres a Lidl on the way from the airport where we bought lots of food to cook in the apartment to save money. The yogurt and honey was amazing. Lots of lovely fruit as well.
We love Nessebar which takes about 30 minutes to walk along the sea front or theres a little train or a boat from sunny beach or you can get the cheap bus. We recommend a restaurant called Sea Gull. Very authentic fish - lots of locals playing chess etc.
You can get a really cheap bus into sunny beach. In the day you can play mini golf and browse the shops and at night its very lively and lots of bars and clubs.
There are not many English speaking people staying in the apartments - they seem to be mostly from Israel, Russia or Germany. But this wasn't a problem for us as we came as a famliy and didnt necessarily want to make new friends. It was nice and quiet in May and September.
The pool is quite cool but it only takes a few seconds to adjust. Although the kiddy pool could be warmer for my 10 month old. The water is always very clean and there are lots of sunloungers to chose from. As the pool is surrounded by apartments it feels very safe, community and quiet. Behind the hotel there are no other hotels so you can see the hills in the background where the sunsets which is very pretty. There is some music on in the day but I didn't find it loud and I enjoyed listening to music when sunbathing. If you don't like croweded pool maybe better to go early/late in season - May/september. The weather was still hot then.
We hired a car and you can always park at the front. We hired through Europ car which were professional and good car - kia with air con.
We did a trip to sozopol which we defniitely recommend and Bourgas which has a beautiful park and nice restaurants. You might be able to do an overnight trip to Istanbul or Varna if you want to go further afield or are there for a week.
We found a short cut to the beach through the hotel over the road. You walk across a board walk over the sand dunes. They have recenlty put in some gorgeous trendy new bars at this end of the beach. They have white whicker chairs and umbrellas etc.
Its more of an apartment that hotel so you don't get fresh towels everyday. They were very clean though and plenty of white towels and soap. You will need to bring washing up liquid. ALl the plates, cutlery etc are there.
The rooms are quite bright with sun as the curtains are quite thin, but the hall way is dark so we could let our daughter sleep there in the day. As the apartments are not next to the bars of SUnny beach theyre nice and quiet.
The lift is quite small but we managed to fit our large pram in and a suitcase.
There is a TV in the room to catch up with news and Mtv. Not many channels in English though. There used to be a table tennis table but we couldn't see it any more. Our room also had a chess board.
Definitely reccomend this place whether you want to read your book by the pool on the beach all week or go clubbing.
