Hotel Zora is in a quiet location on the edge of a forest situated at the northern end of the resort. There are only about 23 rooms in the family run 3* hotel.
The staff spoke very little English but were pleasant and helpful. Their brochure claims that it is "only 300m from the Sunny Beach Coast". It is actually situated 300m from the main road with a further 250m via paths through a number of hotels to the beach. The hill down to the road is quite steep.
There is a bus stop next to the Zora supermarket. From here you can catch a bus down to central sunny beach for 1 Lev or down to Nessebar for 2 Lev. (no 5 or 8 bus).
The hotel has a clean pool with plenty of chairs and loungers available.
We had a bath in our bathroom with a shower but most of the other rooms appeared to have wet rooms.

Spent three wonderful weeks in zora this summer.The location is superb but only a quick bus ride(or a nice walk) into the centre. Small and friendly family run hotel where nothing is to much trouble.Staff are very friendly food is great. Will certainly return.

Stayed in the ZORA last September with friends. This was a return visit as we have stayed there a number of times. The hotel is located just outside the main resort but within easy reach of all amenities. Small and friendly with a nice pool area and terrace with wonderful views of Nessebar, which is not available in other hotels in Sunny Beach. The hotel is in a peaceful location surrounded by a pine forest and is just a short walk to Khans Tent. Breakfast is served outside on the terrace with a choice from the menu. Big rooms which were cleaned daily. Friendly staff. Although we stayed on a BB basis there was a full menu service throughout the day, which was excellent value.
Cant wait to return this year.

* To be fair, my stay here was almost two years ago, but as it has been my least fave holiday to date, thought I'd stick it on! **

Pluses:

Massive comfortable room, cleaned daily
Large bathroom
Fantastic welcoming receptionist (Sacha)
Decent little pool & sunbathing area
Set against scenic pine forest backdrop

Negatives:

Terribly rude waitress banging plates down and ignoring guests
Dreadful inedible food (black fried eggs, anybody?)
Lecherous pervy barman hanging around the pool, staring
Balcony was shared with another room (!)
On top of a very steep hill, 25 mins from beach and main strip

Impressions:

First time in Bulgaria - I would strongly recommend Sunny Beach to anybody on a tight budget looking for great weather. It's cheap...
it's hot...the lager is the best I have ever had....but I doubt I would go back. Curiously soulless and definitely the most unfriendly locals I have ever encountered. Still, for what we paid, unbeatable value.
