My husband and I were dreading this holiday after reading the reviews but were pleasantly surprised. I agree the hotel is a bit tired looking but our room was cleaned every day with clean towels and the bedding was changed regularly.
There are different star accomodation here and we stayed in 3* which cost us £670 each, bed and breakfast, for 2 weeks. Its very difficult to find such a cheap holiday so you have to expect you are not going to be in a 5* posh hotel. The best feature is the large pool. Cleaned daily with plenty of sunbeds ( which you do not have to pay for). It was definately the best pool our end of the resort..
Other reviewers have commented on the rude staff? We did not find this at all. Unfortunately there were certain nationalities who spoke to the staff like they were a piece of s**t and that must be very demoralising for them so no wonder they might look miserable......I certainly would if I had to deal with rude ignorant guests every day, If we smiled and spoke politely to them they wre equally friendly back.
The resort is packed with restaurants and bars, all extremely cheap so All Inclusive is not necessary ( and I agree the food in the hotel was not exciting). Cocktails £1.25 Shots 50p - £1 large beer £1. Average dinner out was a bottle of decent wine, 2 main meals inc steak or lamb etc and a great shopska salad all for £17.
Great beach with lovely sand and water stays shallow quite a way out. Nessenbar is a nice place to visit for the day if you want to get away from the busy beach area.
Except Sunny Beach for what it is - A cheap getaway in the sun.
- Park Hotel Sunny Beach
- Park Hotel Continental
