My boyfriend and I have only just got back from this hotel in Agust 2011 and honestly had the best time! We booked our holiday last minute and just wanted a cheap break. We booked through thomson with balkan holidays which were very very good. I read all these reviews before going and was so upset to hear how "terrible" this place is! I had no expectations at all and at one point didn't even really think it was worth going after reading what everybody else thought. I have to say I was extremely happy when we arrived. We had a lovely room over looking the pool, the room was cleaned every single day, we had air conditioning which worked extremely well, a little tv, a fridge and a very large shower. The pool was beautiful and became quite warm throughout the day. The hotel staff were extremely helpful when asking them about excusions and the weather was beautiful the whole week! (about 34 degrees with no clouds at all).The location of this hotel is perfect as it is about a 5min walk to the beautiful beach and straight down the road is full of bars and restaurants and things to do, but is a little way out of all the noise at night. My one and only problem was that the food really was horrible but that really didn't matter as eating out never cost any more than £8 each with drinks included. I have never written a review before but in this case i really had to so that i could let people who have booked this holiday and have read all the bad reviews know that it really is a lovely place! As far as i know we were in the 3 star rooms as we booked with balkan holidays and balkan customers are automatically booked in 3 star accommodation.. so remember to book through them when booking this holiday just to be sure you have the best stay you can :-)

When we arrived at. 3:00 am, we experienced hotel personnel at its finest, strangely enough. I'll just make new travellers note that the hotel has 2 receptions, the one called Continental Park Hotel Prima is the wrong one. But when we had checked in, 2 nice staffpeople escorted us up to our room. We had bought all inclusive and it had to be tested the next day. When you get up there, it was like traveling back in time to 1975. A large dining room in a rundown building with 2-3 tables with buffet. You try to stand in line, like normal people do, but I do not know if it is specifically Russians or Eastern Europeans just can not figure out what a queue is. But one thing I can say the food was really really good! Our room was very normal. They had just got air conditioning. Comfortable beds and clean. We had room overlooking the restaurant, so many eyes looking at us when we sat with our Captain Morgan. The hotel was situated a long walk from the center... But there was free wi-fi in the lounge, very good! When we checked out, we had to tell the receptionist, that we hadn't paid for the rooms yet. So basicly we could had left without paying.

Wasted one week in, this "hotel", so going to be brief as i do not wast anymore time on this dreadfull place. Rude staff, not welcoming, food recycled and cold so i had to eat out everyday. bed linen and towels with holes and stains, also frayed, room had being given a quick lick of paint but unfortunatly most of it had gone on carpet. Mould and filth in shower and we cannnot understand why they seem so proud of lighting up a filthy mouldy window in corredor. My advise please do not stay in this hotel, go for 4 stars. Thanks

We stayed here in July 2006 (not 2010) and although the hotel was basic it wasnt that bad!! We had read reviews on here before saying it was like a POW camp, so was really worried but it was clean and comfy which was all we needed.

Weather was perfect. We ate out every night & all food was really nice.
Really enjoyed the Barcardi Bar such a laugh! My (now) husband proposed to me here!!

All in all the hotel is basic but clean.....Sunny Beach was lovely, i loved Bulgaria and would go back in a heartbeat!
