Stayed in Sunny beach many times, this is my favourite hotel. Its close to the centre of sunny beach and close to the best part of the beach there. Ideal location for me. Hotel looks impressive, very classy and well designed, that includes lobby, exterior, all the corridors and the rooms. Room was huge, clean, beautifully decorated. Soft carpets, big comfy sofa and decent tele with a good number of english speaking channels. Only negative in the room I had was that the AC was centrally controlled and set at 24 degrees. This is an ok temperature, but a little warm for my personal taste, I would have liked to keep my room at about 20. Wasnt a big deal, but I just dont understand why is wasnt controllable in the room.

Pool area was decent, as was both outdoor and indoor pools. The gym was ok too, ideal for doing a bit of exercise before eating too much food all day. Best thing about pool area was it was lively and busy, but there was never a shortage of loungers. They also had spongy covers to make the loungers more comfortable. (we visited in september, maybe in august hotel would be a lot busier and there would be shortage of loungers and issues getting a spot by the pool. Last year at Chaika, there were fights breaking out over loungers and people moving towels so the ease of availability here was a relief). Animation team worked very hard and had good games for adults and kids. Outside bar served up decent beer and acceptable spirits all day to all inclusive guests, no problems there.

Wont talk about the food much. All inclusive food was available 4 times a day, big selections and of adequate quality. Not everything will be to everyones tastes and some food was bland, i suspect that as guests are predominantly not english, the menu is targeted at the european pallette. I was happy with food, ate every day and never left unsatisfied, but can see how fussy eaters would find reason to grumble.

All inclusive deals are superb for managing costs through your holiday, but i would definately not eat every single meal there all week as food did become samey. To avoid eating at a nearby restaurant and finding yourself paying for the same dull food you could have had for free at Planeta, I recommend Mamacita mexican restaurant. Well tasy food, nothing like the standard bulgarian stuff everywhere else and reasonable too. Had a decent live band playing there while we ate.

Good hotel, will stayn there again!

Not clean, they don't even clean the lavatories every day and don't change sheets. Food terrible. Vegetables and fruits on the verge of being rotten. Food overcooked and tastes bad (how can you ruin steamed broccoli??). Noise from the street until late at night (karaoki). No internet in rooms or in anywhere except close to reception.

Hmm where to start, this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at, definitely not a five star, do not stay there. There are so many issues with this hotel, here are some of ours:
1.) We spent three days in a room which overlooked a building site, a room which was very dirty
2.) We spent the rest of the holiday in a room which was disgustingly filthy and there was little cleaning service, dirty linen which was not changed at all during our stay, there were health and safety issues due to room being so dirty
3.) The reception staff were rude and unhelpful, and very few could speak English, and left us feeling threatened
4.) The toilets on the ground floor were dirty, leaking and a health hazard
5.) No lighting in the room corridors, a health hazard
6.) Luggage, no secure system
7.) Lifeguard and pool cleanliness was inadequate
8.) The wireless would only work within 2 metres of reception, otherwise you had to pay
9.) You had to pay to hire the safety deposit, something I would not expect in this standard of hotel
This was a disaster of a holiday, I actually felt more stressed from being going on holiday!

we ve been to many places and i thought i was aware of the hotel and my expectations were not high but here s a few genuine warnings to you if you decide to go there - there s only one bar of use daytimes -pool bar, watered down beer really bad wine , really bad soft drinks -that s it. the lobby bar is chargable -the so called club never open in the 2 weeks we were there, there was a bar in the restaurant but same as pool bar oh and as as added bonus if you break a glass etc it s 5 lev. .the bar staff at the pool bar had the personality of a rattle snake ,and just so unfriendly as if they re doing you a favour giving you a drink . FOOD well what can i say -as i said my expectations were nt high but it was terrible-i m usually ok with most food in hotels but i had to stick to the sweet buns and coffee in the mornings it really was bad -i thought i read somewhere that there was an egg station -WHERE?. dinner -pretty much the same every night and really bad -cold . really rude guests -i don t think they ve quite got the queing thing yet ,also noisey. all in all not brit friendly at all. the staff have no idea of customer service and are just so rude .also safes are chargable at 50 lev for 2 weeks.also make sure if you book a family room you get one -we had twin beds and a sofa bed for our kids which kept breaking . ENTERTAINMENT - ha ha ha ha ha what entertainment ? basically every scam going to get your cash. trust me and don t go there . GOOD POINTS -ehhh ehhh -rooms had good sound proofing , showers-baths good gym good spa ok.. all in all my feelings are that once you re there they know you ll not be back so why bother?
