We went to Bulgaria and Albena for the first time. The whole purpose of the vacation was relaxing, sun and bathing. We got it all and more. We have 3 children, 2,5 years old, 5 years old and 8 years old.
We had a big room with separate bedroom. Big bathroom. The room was cleaned every day, the bed were made and towels arranged in figures, the children liked this. The bathroom was ok, but it was a bad smell there for the first 2-3 days. There was a big balkony around the two rooms so we had a great wiew. Lots of closet and drawers for the clothes. Everything worked perfectly.
The poolarea was a dream for the kids and we had a good time there every day. The poolmanager and lifeguard was present and visible. There was some activities four times during the day, and this was not too loud so they who didn't want to participate could continue to relax. There was also some activities for teenages, like football and other sports, but we didn't see that. Just a few steps away was the beautiful beach with wateractivities.

Because of the small chldren we didn't go out much in the evening. There was a show every evening at the hotell next to ours, Kaliakra, but they finnished around 22-22.30. After that there was silent and cosy to sit at the balkony and read and enjoy some drinks.

In the diningroom there was not too crowdy and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff was effective and cleaning without us noticing them. We found something new at the buffet every meal,with delicious cakes. The icecreme inside was too soft because of all the children who didn't close the freezer.

I also had the pleasure of getting a massage and anti-stress-treatment. A completely wonderful experience with proffesionals.

We had a great time in Albena and at Arabella Beach hotel. We are only sorry we didn't speak bulgarian and the staff didn't speak much english. If nessecery we could understand oneanother, but we wanted to be able to talk to everybody more. Next time we will be more prepered and bring a dictionary :-)

don't even think to go there. the pool is ok, the rooms are terrible, probably renewd in early '90-s. The food could be better. I will not return

An "old" hotel, not renewed from the '90-s. Grey white towels, the elevators probably 30 years old, terrible bathroom. The swimming pool "saved" them somhow. Clearly not a four star hotel. Is better to not go there
