When my husband and I arrived in Jamestown we split up and visted all the hotels to compare rates. The Comfort Inn was moderately priced and cleaner than some of the other hotels in town. Days Inn smelled and allows dogs which equals dirt, ticks, and other little nasty things. Holiday was expensive and didn't look that great.
We choose the Comfort Inn and we were glad we did. The room was very clean (ncluding the carpets), spacious, and looked nice (I didn't think it was out dated). The bathrooms were very clean and it was great that a makeup remover towel was supplied. Shower was hot and clean. Bedding was in good shape and the mattress was comfortable. We never use the comforters. The pillows may be an indiscernable amout smaller but they were feather and very comfy. We tested placing four accross (like the other review complaned about) but they only fit that way if place them lenghtwise; three pillow fit across the bed. Other perks of the room include laundry bags and service, a microwave, a fridge, and a t.v.
The hotel did not appear to have an elevator, but there are rooms on the first floor. We did not hear any traffic from the freeway. The housekeeping service did start a little early (around 9:30) but I'd rather have a clean hotel than a dirty one. Besides, they did not make much noise anyways. Any hotel with a pool will have chemical smells but we did not smell anything in our room. Lobby did need a few updates but we didn't spend any time there anyways. They have breakfast but we didn't try any; we grilled our breakfast and counted the people in the drive thru ordering millions of calories. This hotel also has a guarentee, so if you are upset about something thing tell them and they will fix it.
We enjoyed our brief stay here, the Comfort Inn was far superior than the $275 hotel and the $150 hotel we stayed at. After several days of tent camping this was a great hotel for a great price.
Our favorite part was grilling in the parking lots between the hotel and McDonalds. We were able to drink and grill meat as we watched tons of people go through the drive through. We were amazed at how many people eat crappy McDonalds food, it was discusting! (What's so good about it, it is just fatty meat or tons of sugar in everything including salads.) A lady even snapped off her mirror trying to get through the drive thru, and I almost got ran over trying to throw trash away as people raced through drive thru area. One of the employees smelled our food grilling and asked if we wanted to trade, we started laughing and shouted no way.
Comfort Inn is a hotel we would stay at again.
Room Tip: We arrive in town at 8 p.m. and ran from hotel to hotel for rates. Don't go to McDonalds eat so...
