We booked through expedia in october 2011 for new years and when i got home after new years to find out that within a week of checking out with a zero balance that i have over $ 800 charged to my credit card from the hotel. After calling the hotel about 6-8 times finally getting a manager to talk to which he says he has left me a message at my house to find out that i have had no messages on my answering machine. Talk to the manager today and he says it happens from time to time so make sure u check ur credit card statements for a week or more after leaving the hotel. I had to cancel my credit card to stop gettin gthe charges.

“clean, good breakfast but is it worth the extra money to be closemto the mall?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 November 2011

Ddecided to try a hotel closer to the mall for about $25 extra per night to see what you got for the money besides 5-7 minutes convenience. Clean room with adequate size and the usual free breakfast but nothing special compared to cheaper hotels a little further from the mall.

“Good value, but nothing special”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2011

We were in Grand Forks for a family wedding and decided to stay at the Fairfield Inn since I'm a rewards member and they have free breakfast. It was a average room, nothing special, but clean. 2 queen beds is always better for 4 people than 2 doubles. The breakfast was okay; I was disappointed by the lack of fresh fruit, but there were many other choices. Good location, but Grand Forks is not that big, so you're not too far from anything. Room was quiet, we didn't use the pool much, but dipped our toes in the hot tub. We would stay here again.

“Typical hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 September 2011

I love their cheery bright colors and very clean. Lots of pillows and comfortable bed. I also felt very safe coming in late at night. Employees were very friendly. Pretty, but small pool. The building itself is not quiet - I could hear the people overhead stomp around and noise in the hallways. It was a good breakfast with lots of variety, though a small area, but they don't mind if you take a tray with food to your room. The room came with a refrigerator and a microwave which was handy. I would stay there again.

“Good value at newly remodeled Fairfield Inn”

We stayed her for one night over Labor Day weekend. I got a great deal on Priceline for the room. The rate includes a continental breakfast as well. They offered a nice variety of breakfast options including waffles, pastries, fruit, cereal, milk and juices. The hotel has been recently refurbished, with new bathrooms, carpet, linens, etc. and it was very nice with flat panel tvs and new furniture. The room was clean and the bathroom was immaculate! It was cleaner than the Hilton was stayed at in Winnipeg the night before! There is also a small pool and hot tub on site. It is conveniently located near the Columbia Mall near a few other hotels, just off the main road in Grand Forks. There is ample parking in the hotel parking lot. My only gripe is that they have rather tiny bath towels, but the towels were clean and soft. We even received a complimentary Sunday newspaper. We had a great stay at the Fairfield Inn Grand Forks and I would stay here again.
