We had a very unpleasant situation happen during our overnight at Econo Lodge on Thursday, Sept 15/16 2010, which happened at 5:30 A.M. We were awakened by somebody opening our room door No. 122 . Fortunately I had engaged the metal safety metal bar which kept them from coming in our room. By the time I got up and went to the door (I'm a senior and don't move too fast anymore) no one was in the corridor. The door was still partly opened resting at the end of the safety bar. Now, how could this have happened with the door safety locked and needing a safety card to open the door???? It had to be somebody with access to a pass key and access to the computer key codes. Anyway this is a warning to people top always make sure their door is locked with the safety chain or metal bar. We had planed staying two nights but we cancelled and took off for Grand Forks where we did our shopping. The only good thing about the Motel was a very clean room and pleasant breakfast.
