We booked a long weekend here to stay while we visited relatives that had an oceanfront beach house down the street. We rented a "suite" with a kitchenette and separate bedroom. The accommodations were great considering the lower price than the competition, and everything was clean, well kept, and in good working order. The pool was small but clean and well kept as well
Our room had a small porch facing the side street and we were delightfully surprised to have both ocean and inter-coastal waterway views and a nice cross breeze.
We didn't ask much of the staff and this isn't a full service hotel, but they were very friendly and quick to provide the few small things we did ask for.

Parking is very difficult in Wrightsville beach so free parking for one car was welcome. We asked about parking a 2nd car should someone from our family want to come over and use the pool and they were happy to let us have a 2nd pass.

A great value for the time we spent there. We will return to this motel on our next trip.

What's not to love? Great location - just a short walk across the street to the beach. Great view - we had a wonderful ocean view from our balcony. ( It helps that the motel is right across the street from Oceana's parking lot so views of the ocean are great even from across the street.) Great eats close by. Loved eating at the Oceana and its sister restaurant, Bluewater Waterfront Grill. For a treat, we walked to town and had ice cream cones at Kohl's. The rates were extremely reasonable for this area (it helped that we chose to stay right before the "high season" prices kicked in.) They have a pool, but we chose to swim in the ocean. Nice, quiet part of the island.

We only spent one night at Sandpeddler but would have gladly spent more. Our room was very clean and well appointed. While not fancy it was all you need for a weekend away. Sandpeddler is not directly on the beach, but it's the next best thing. There's only a residential one way street between you and public beach access. The beach here is clean is not too far of a walk from the end of the island and Johnny Mercer's pier. I'll certainly be looking for some more deals at this hotel over the summer and post Labor Day season.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sandpeddler. We loved walking to the end of the island at sunrise and sunset. Our ocean view was spectacular, and you could hear the crashing from the bedroom. Our unit was tastefully furnished and comfortable. We ate breakfast and lunch on the deck overlooking the ocean, and walked across the street for dinner on the pier at the Oceanic - the best restaurant on the island if not the state. Management was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the pool as well as the beach. Try to get corner units which are larger and sunnier. We felt that the Sandpeddler was an excellent value and we have recommended to our friends who are planning a Wrightsville Beach trip.
