We love a 60s band called The Tams, and when we found out they were playing at this hotel's ballroom for NYE, we booked it.
What a great deal! For $295 (plus taxes and $12 for parking) we had a very nice suite (it's a lower-end Hilton property, though, so don't expect top luxury) an incredibly delicious buffet dinner meal with top-quality and well-prepared foods, and open bar (yes, truly open all night long) and fabulous entertainment in an excellent venue with a large dance floor. ALSO included was a delicious, made-to-order breakfast which was the best "complimentary" breakfast we have ever had in a hotel, by far.
The suite had a nice large, full kitchen, though we didn't use it, and we really liked the updated, upscale bathroom, very large with nice amenities and big white fluffy towels. The layout of the suite provides comfort and plenty of room. I was getting over a cold and napped for three hours in the very comfortable king bed while my husband watched football in the other room. The only negative was no in-room safe.
The staff--from the front desk, to the managers, to the party-planners, to the wait staff--were about the best I've ever seen anywhere. They really wanted to make sure you were happy and enjoying yourselves. Everyone smiled, everyone asked how things were, everyone made you feel special.
Comfort, quality, a large room and bathroom, a lot of "bang for the buck" made this a great place to be on New Year's Eve. I don't know who they will have next year, but if we can dance to the music, we'll be there!
