Here on business for a couple of nights. This is a historic hotel and those of you into quaint, historic hotels will probably love this place. I am not one of those people, however, and would prefer a more modern hotel.
The pluses are it is inexpensive, large tub, good sized rooms (although they are partly divided by a wall), great restaurants nearby, interior decor has nice historical feel, and breakfast is decent (but no hot items, like eggs, waffles, pancakes, etc)
Minuses are hard to find your room (the hotel layout isn't that organized, it is an old factory after all), in "bedroom" (partly divided off from main room) there is room for the bed and little else like luggage, shampoo packets are like ketchup packets (a bit too cheap), lots of repairs had been done to the tile in the bathroom and it looks very worn, treadmill didn't work, and the time window breakfast is offered is rather limited.
Some other things are it is in an old/historic part of town which may be safe but doesn't necessarily feel so. I agree with others this place has a very worn out feel and should be updated. If I ever come back to the area (I do like the area), I will request elsewhere but again history buffs may like this hotel a lot.
