I stayed here 3 nights on business. Room was clean, staff was friendly. Room was larger than I expected, though I did have 2 queen beds. Bathroom is small, makes a tight space for 2 women getting ready in the morning. Breakfast was nothing special, mostly muffin/bagel items. It was located near many restaurants and shopping areas, yet was quiet in the rooms with no highway noise.

This was the 2nd Microtel I've stayed at, and I'm finding them great value. This hotel is in a great location in the town, right across from a mall, with many restaurants and other stores/amenities nearby too. Plus you can even walk out of the hotel and there's an Outback Steakhouse just a few yards away. The hotel seems relatively new and is in very nice condition. Rooms are relatively small, but perfect for the traveler like myself who just wants a clean bed for the night - the rooms are clean and well-kept. The desk area is only small, so if you need a lot of table space for work purposes, this might not suit you. It was more than fine for me with my laptop though. Bathrooms are quite spacious.

I'd definitely return if I was in the area, and I can absolutely recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a clean, typical budget hotel.

We were very impressed with the Winston-Salem Microtel. It exceeded our expections by leaps and bounds. Ashley, Blair, and Mohommad are truly friendly and they are really hard workers, tending to to both the dining area as well as the front desk. They were true multi-taskers and they didn't miss a beat! In the midst of all their business, they still remained very attentive to their customers. The cleaning staff was amazing as well. Everything was really, really deep-down clean! We will definitely be back and we will be recommending Microtel Inn & Suites to all our Winston-Salem clients! Oh yes, and I must add that the rooms were quite comfortable too. Although small, it was laid out nicely and never once did we feel crammed. I loved the window seat, it was a very cleaver use of space. I always bring my own pillow and bedding, but I didn't even use it here, as their beds and pillows were very comfortable and their bedding and towels were soft. So much more than what we would ever expect from such an inexpensive hotel! On our first trip, we used a coupon from a Roomsaver book we picked up at a rest area, but on our second trip, we found the same coupon from roomsaver.com which we were able to print out before we even left our house. The staff was very familiar with the coupon and check in/check out went very smoothly. I am really picky about hotels and I tend to have to pay a lot of money in order to find one that pleases me, but Microtel Inn & Suites of Winston-Salem is the exception. I just can't find enough nice things to say about this place. My thanks to everyone at Microtel Inn & Suites in Winston-Salem, NC! Keep up the great work!!!

I stayed here for the High Point Furniture Market for the second time and was again very satisfied. The rate for the two nights was less than $90.00 including tax. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. They use duvets instead of the old blanket and bedspread combo. There is a good selection of television chanels but they could use an upgrade to flat panels. I will be reserving it again for April.
