While this is not a new hotel, it has been extremely well maintained, and is Very Clean. The bed was very good and the pillows were fine. The most notable positives of this hotel were how clean it was and how friendly the staff was. The carpeting in the room and halls looked new, but when we asked about any recent renovations were told everything was actually several years old. The staff obviously takes pride in how well-maintained their hotel is. Lighting was good as was the seating, and the shelf space in the bathroom was very good. Shelf space for luggage, however, was somewhat limited. The only negatives were the paper-thin towels and the wimpy shower. We noticed that one of the breakfast offerings was prepackaged oatmeal that we could microwave. Another Fairfield Inn where we stayed recently had oatmeal available that appeared to have been slow-cooked, and which was very nice and thick --- something that was probably unique to that particular hotel, but would have been nice to have in this one. Overall, this was a very pleasant place to stay --- handy access right off I-40 as well as 40 Business, and close to many amenities. And the price was right, especially relative to other nearby hotels.

- front light full of spider webs, also flickers when first turned on.
- noisy refrigerator
- breakfast seating area insufficient

Considering that price was $99 compared to $53 at Micro-tel, you would not expect so many problems.

This is the best Fairfield Inn I have stayed at. It's spotless, the front desk help is always great on the phone and in-person, and the rooms are spacious. The king rooms even have a couch like a suite but they just don't have the wall to seperate the couch from the bed which is ok by me. A couple of nights during the week, they even offer a manager's reception with beer & wine with snacks. The hotel is also next to a Red Lobster restaurant you can talk to as well a host of other restaurants you drive to in a just a few minutes and the Hanes Mall is just across the street.
