I stayed in this hotel for one night on my way to New York. I walked into my room and noticed a strong odor. It seems that someone was smoking in this room prior to my arrival. I drew this conclusion because I found a lighter in the bathroom. I guess the cleaning staff did not notice the ligher. They also didn't notice the yellow urine stains on the toilet. The bedspreads were worn and thinning almost to the point where they had holes. I lifted my bedspread and here is where I found the holes. Two of them in my sheets. The sheets were worn and yellow and should have been replaced ages ago! In addition, the carpets were worn down where they met the walls and I found food underneath the sofa bed. I did not have to look hard to determine that the room needed a better cleaning. This experience cost me $74.00 per night. To top it off, I found a live bug on my bed, which I promptly disposed of. If the thought crossed your mind, it wasn't a bedbug but three days after my stay, I have bites on my arms. Who knows what type of bug bit me. After this experience, I am afraid to ever stay at a Quality Inn. I would rather spend twenty dollars more a night and stay at a cleaner place.
